I just took a look at some pages and, god, so many hot takes and posts like “Obsidian is just a name anyway, all the talents left it” or “Rare 2.0”. Lol.
I previously said every Xbox Podcast mentions Metal Gear when talking about Microsoft buying IP. Xbox Two also did that today.

We got to know that Microsoft bought fully publishing rights for Psychonauts 2 from Starbreeze Studios same day as they announced Double Fine acquisition. And Starbreeze is a public company. So, everything is up to the contractual obligations.

I don’t think any of it matters honestly. Microsoft bought Linkedin and Nuance…two public companies with nary a warning. BIG, global companies.
I doubt the courts are going to make a heck of a lot of fuss because MS bought Sonic the hedgehog without disclosing it in advance.

…and LinkedIn was delisted from NYSE just 11 days after finalising Microsoft’s acquisition.
Nuance Communications acquisition is still pending. Not bought yet.
I assume it’ll be delisted from Nasdaq as well.
