Will Bethesda Games be Xbox Console Exclusive?

It would be verrrrry bad lol. Id probably ask for a ban here so i don’t have to keep reading people’s reactions.

Yeah, I’ll have to stop visiting 95% of the places that talking about games.

I would actually considering selling my Xbox Series X because it would be a sign to me they just don’t give a shit really.

Not a good look, and if I was an internal studio I would wonder why can’t our games be multiplat too. Also it would show Microsoft is not confident in building their ecosystem and gamepass, which might make people question their purchase. Anyways, a lot at stake and the decision to be exclusive or not is going to cause a lot of noise. I’m just saying business wise it would be smart to make sure games are exclusive to attract people to gamepass

Doesn’t matter to me since they will all be free with GamePass.

Yes

Yep

It’s gonna be case by case basis. It’s plain in sight.

And people saying it’s either gonna be exclusive or multiplat - all will be correct in the end

Xbox has turned into a people pleaser. They will satisfy everyone :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Agreed. Keeping the userbase in the dark about there strategy is not good.

I don’t even think they should bring the MMOs over. Keep the PS4 version working as long as the XB1 version works but that’s it.

Despite being massively on top Sony has spent the last gen and the last couple of years especially taking games and content from Xbox.

When a business acts aggressively in than manner you have to react back to protect your interests. Give them nothing and keep actively pursuing third party content for Gamepass and marketing deals to stop them taking it.

Bethesda IPs like Fallout, Elder Scrolls are so massive, trailers get 20-30 million views, that’s way more than even Halo. When people watch the trailers and it shows only on Xbox they will have to decide. There is so much pull power here that MS would be foolish not to keep them exclusive and I believe they will.

It’s a hard pill to swallow for fanboys that they might need to buy an Xbox or subscribe to Xcloud but this won’t be a problem for most people. There is so much accessibility that comes through Series S and X Cloud and a lot of people will jump in.

Series S was probably designed with single console owners in mind, to make the pill of having to buy an Xbox easier to swallow. So much exclusive content this gen is going to be hard to ignore but gamers have been given lots of choices.

Because in Xbox One generation some games appeared on other consoles so it created expectation. I recall Phil mentioned that or something.

The only promising thing is that even during Xbox One era where PS outsold Xbox, the stakeholders did not ask to release first party games on PS5. So there is that.

That is the power of market share. Also Sony produced multiple GOTY’s so it is easier to justify the price increase.

Even if MS makes everything exclusive they won’t get much backlash because they have GamePass and it will justify everything. With 15$ entry point if you are complaining and want it for 70$ on your console, not many people will support it.

If MS won’t make the games exclusive and I will honestly question why do I need to support Xbox at all. Because imaging losing games due to exclusivity and then being generous enough to support other camp.

Exactly. They have the incredible joker in their hands and if they are unable to leverage it, it would be dissappointing. But not unexpected meh.I mean, cheapest entry, all access, gamepass etc. For 25$/35$ per month console and tons of games…

Wonder if Rhand knows more than us all now too. After all he has contact with many folks and I bet some of them insider too. I definitely think by now that not only MS and Bethesda are in the know about the plan.

And now we have some nobodies claiming shit, lol.

Aye, read his bio. He’s a troll who openly admits it

All in all, we’ll see if Microsoft can read the room or not
