Jade from Beyond good and Evil.
She is smart, skilled and cares deeply for her friends.
A close second would be Kassandra from AC, the best part of odyssey, she is everythign I would want to be, strong, smart, dry, witty.

Two characters that I really liked are Jaheira from Baldur’s gate and Callistege from Torment: Tides of Numenera. The later is a damn fine game - or perhaps more of an interactive book in digital form - on Xbox despite being riddled with bugs.

Since its gaming, and where my mind first went, until I saw we were picking characters from games. I say devs need love too.
Roberta Williams, is a favorite for her work essentially creating the graphic adventure genre. As someone who grew up playing such games as Kings Quest and Phantasmagoria, I think she is wonderful too.
