Where does Xbox need to improve? | Let's be constructive about it

I’m in the US and I didn’t see alot of commericals during the GamePass onsalught of Holiday 21.

I think MS would have much rather preferred there wasn’t a chip shortage so they could actually meet demand. I honestly don’t think Phil is worried about how many PS5’s get sold compared to Xbox as long as Xboxes continue to sell as well. Phil isn’t thinking like most people obsessed with the standard console war are.

Also, how would you qualify “Big in gaming”? I think MS has been pretty big in gaming.

With that I agree, though I am kinda disappointed that they did not push much their currently released games. Probably still the ghosts of Windows marketing.

Console market is arguably not bigger, and they still outsold their past consoles in the same timeframe despite being chip limited, allocating hardware for cloud, having 0 exclusives for around a year, and also having less incentive to buy a console because the games are on PC as well.

I’m just saying:

If Microsoft sent a person into space using SpaceX to play Starfield that would garner WIDESPREAD attention.

Just put a Series S and one of those screens on the rocket.

I don’t think criticizing them is “dwelling on negativity”, I didn’t accuse anyone of high treason or stupid things like that, it’s only a reality you also know.

Let’s say 2023, but even looking at basic things like (badly) machine translated menus, it’s not a good starting point for localization and support.

Phil directly answered about this large issue about support and localization, so it’s at least accepted as real and not some forum fanfic.

OH SHIT.

Daddy Musk, Uncle Phil and Mr. Howard gonna send us all to space for Starfield.

GOTY secured

NGL, sending Geoff into space to play Starfield would be something

What would he blow on though?

PTSD? really?

sweet little lies

Dude most of your posts are literally focused on whining and complaining about negatives, that aren’t even always negative objectively but sometimes only to you. I’m not saying don’t criticize, many criticize, but “dwelling on the negative” is when you take that criticism and assume if it doesn’t get addressed or addressed quickly then there’s only doom. Hell, maybe if it doe you’ll say “too late”. You certainly haven’t been contributing to something I’d call positive, I only ever see you point out what’s “missing” or “lacking” or “PS dominates” and all that. And I would love for you to prove me wrong…

I never even noticed that in the title, PTSD is not something to make light of when it comes to a damned hobby. I’ve renamed the thread.

My last post in XGS thread was about stopping possible concerns about PG with Fable given their track record and excellent titles.

IDK why are you making this personal, we all want them improving Xbox presence around the world.

This new title is a much better title to be honest.

I’m really not making this personal like you think. At least If it’s personal then it’s because I would like for you to be less negative, and I see that as a good thing. You bring your post about PG and Fable, great, make your posts more like that! your criticisms more like criticisms than complaints and whining and dooming, to be frank. You’re not the only one to want Xbox to have better global presence, we all literally criticize them there all the time, and yet when we do that we don’t usually do so with such attitude and bitterness, and we also don’t dismiss their other efforts or allude to their doom unless every one of the criticisms is addressed.

This certainly is a thread.

With the new title it’s a bit better, I just wish everyone could discuss both positive and negative things without being so polarizing about it in other threads. I’m talking about both the people who are more or less always negative, and the ones who’s mission in life it is to complain about said people complaining. Just as annoying.

It’s a discussion forum, not a cheerleading central nor a complaints office. We can all do better.
