What kind of controller batteries are best?

I have something similar, the one from that company that Razer bought, and I have to say it works amazingly well. They even sell color matching docks as well as the ones for the limited edition controllers.

Or you could always buy an elite controller…

I had the worst luck with power banks with Xbox controllers. What I tried they always disconnect for no obvious reasons.

Well I don’t know what voltage but one of the power banks I tried is one that supports fast charging on my phone so I assume it should be up to standard, and multiple cables some of which are also of the fast charging variety.

I have been using this for over a year, never have to worry about charging etc as it lasts forever and I just plonk my controller down when not in use.

Amazon Basics. I have 6 of them that I bought in 2013 for the 360 controllers. They’ve lost juice but they still give me about I’d say 8-10 hours a charge.

Wow, really? That’s pretty impressive. I’m still an Energizer guy though…
