I was very affected by Rime, the quintessential “Gem”. Wonderful game.
Gonna repeat it again
Play Deliver us the Moon
Wasteland 3, Stellaris, Gears Tactics. Spent a lot of time on those gems, worth every second. The first 2 games I’d hadn’t even heard of before.
Once I get out of ‘XCOM2 mode’, I’ll return to Deliver us the Moon, which gives me the EVA gameplay sadly lacking from Elite Dangerous’s Odyssey DLC.
A plague’s tale. Fantastic game, would never have discovered it without gamepass.
Nice. It’s definitely an achievement for the studio.
On the other hand, it’s crazy how we went from talking about Asobo non-stop everywhere to not even mentioning them anymore, it’s sad.
Yep, most of mine have been mentioned, which means I am in good company
Plague Tale
Slay the Spire
Thronebreaker
Children of Morta
Prey
Titanfall2 campaign
Greedfall
Pillars of Eternity 1&2 - patiently waiting for console release of P2 deadfire
I’ll have to give Monster Train a go
Would also like to add:
Carrion.
Tetris Effect Connected has quickly become my “Just kill a few moments” game.
Fire it up, set it the Deep, and JAM to that soundtrack.
ooo yeah, Carrion is a proper little gem.

supraland.
Yakuza 0 as far as something that shocked me.
Spiritfarer was neat and so was Slay the Spire
Yakuza 0 is a masterpiece for me. It was such a wild ride and I have never experienced anything like that before and every chapter there was a big WTF moment and a plot twist. One of the best stories ever in a video game. This is on my top 10 All time fav games list.
Narita Boy - This game is just wonderful. The art direction is gorgeous and every single thing in the game is well thought out to fit the theme of the game.
I love the enemies and their visuals styles. There are constantly new types of enemies and bosses thrown at you with beautiful designs. The game keeps changing up every hour with new powers for the players, new enemies, varied game play mechanics and distinct environments.
I also really love that the game is not a full on metroidvania (THANK GOD). The game never feels too hard and the puzzles are not hard which is great. Would have never tried this game if it wasnt on gamepass
Touhou Luna Nights is a pretty hidden gem on the service. A fun, challenging, and satisfying metroidvania with beautifully animated pixel art, amazing music and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome (about 6 hours to beat). The story is non-existent but if you’re a Touhou fan then it can be fun to see the characters interact. I hope the developer’s next game, Record of Lodoss War, which just released on Steam, also makes it’s way to game pass.
Yakuza 0 and Frostpunk.
Play Frostpunk.
