I’m paying off a TV and laptop so money’s tight right now, but in a few months I plan on upgrading. If I can’t find a Series X by then I’ll settle for an S and give it to my nephew once I get my hands on an X. I’m definitely tired of trying to guess whether a game will run acceptably on both my Xbox and my Switch, lol.
Finished The Ascent and Dodgeball Academia. Enjoyed both with some caveats but had fun. I’m actually playing Nier Replicant: string of numbers now. It’s been a nice way to revisit this game and that music is still so good. Might start up My Friend Pedro after, no clue on that one. I have gamer ADHD (not to make light of it of course)!
Finished the main campaign of Control. Now working on DLC. Also finished Dodgeball Academia.
Now playing Hades.
Still need to go back and finish Yakuza LAD, Death’s Door, and The Ascent.
Xbox has too many games…
Hades and Yakuza like a Dragon. I’m nearly finished with like a dragon. Afterwards I will play Trails to Azure on my laptop, and more Hades. Maybe I will play a cool short game as a palate cleanser.
Too damn much.
Pyschonauts 2 at the end of the Month and Tales of Arise early next.
Damn.
Continuing my playthrough on The Witcher Thronebreaker. Really love The Witcher world and lore.
Meanwhile Rocket League & Warzone as usual but the game is infested by cheaters. Next week Tales Of Arise demo & 12 minutes. Also waiting for Lost Judgment in september.
Bloodroots done. Hard as hell. One hit mechanic, zero error runs . I took the easy route for the final boss.
Simple revenge and resurrection story. Twist at the end.
Personal recommendation - you sbould play this.
Omno next.
I just finished the first Mass Effect in the Legendary Edition. Before I move on I’m going to finish:
- The Ascent
- Hades
I’ll also be adding 12 Minutes and Psychonauts to that list soon!
Finally beat Skyward Sword HD. God that game was a Chore last 5 hours. Good game but worst 3D zelda game by some distance. Glad its done I can sell it now.
Right now just Hades and Samurai Warriors 5. Waiting for my most anticipated GOTY releasing in under a month, Tales of Arise. Demo coming next week.
Finished Raji and it was a pretty fun game. Not to long and a couple of different ways to play that fit your style. Overall I would recommend it.
After that I moved on to Hades and been having a blast. Last night finally got to hades with the spear but died. Made it back again with the fist and got his health down… just to watch it go full again. Didn’t make it past that
O well still had fun still trying to find the God’s boons that I like and who to best pair with. Granted the Athena and the winter good can’t remember her name duo boon probably helped me during the final hades fight.
I recently played Ghost of a Tale, absolutely outstanding game and very relaxing being a straight up stealth game with relatively little combat.
Have also started playing A Plague’s Tale which is quite good so far.
For some reason started to play Need for Speed Rivals. It’s the only NFS game I own, and the first one I played. It’s not very good…
So of course I am playing Hades and seeing what the fuss was about last year. The game is not massive but it has a really addicting gameplay loop, with good voice acting and you cannot go wrong with Greek mythology.
I have also got back into Deep Rock Galactic with a couple of friends. If anyone has not given the game a try, you should if you enjoy a good mulitplayer game.
I really should play Hades… It’s not my kind of game but it’s free so.
In other news I’m about half way through NFS: Rivals, and thank the gods 12 Minutes released so I could take a break and play that instead. Rivals is not good… I hope the others are better?
12 Minutes is great though!
I’m pretty much done nearly everything in Fortnite to get everything out of the season pass so I’ve stopped playing that daily to level up.
I’m still playing a few matches of Vigor every day. Season 9 is pretty cool so far.
And so with no Fortnite I’m playing Art of Rally a bit every day, around 1-2 races. It’s a lot like Descenders In where I found it very difficult at first but after taking things slow I’m able to get better and better.
I ended up loving Descenders and I have a feeling that it will be the same with Art of Rally. Like Descenders it’s a game that is more of a sim than it would appear at face value. I got that impression after following its development but didn’t realize it fully until I played it. A more forgiving game would have even featured wider tracks but this is pretty realistic from the get-go.
If you’ve tried Art of Rally and you’re having troubles, I give the same advice for folks who try racing simulators with wheels… Drive slowly. Don’t try to be fast, try to make it to the end. Feather your gas, brakes, and steering. No joke, go real slow. Once you can finish races consistently like this, try going a bit faster.
Apart from that I feel like I’m coming down with a cold and a part of me wants to “rest” by playing 12 Minutes from beginning to end in a couple sittings with a blanket and cocoa.
Finally finished a run in Hades. According to the item in the room it was my 19th run and knocked it out with the sword. Been switching to whatever weapon gives me the bonus darkness. Tried one run with heat and made it through 3 bosses but the one I picked for heat wasn’t fun in that 4th area lol. Should probably try to knock out all runs without heat with every weapon though.
Figure try to get a few more runs done before psychonauts 2 hits.
If you have Game Pass there is literally no reason for you not to try it out and see what you think. It is also a great time killer due to the game saving your progress everytime you enter a new room.
I want to play 12 Minutes but am addicted to Hades…getting the heat levels up for each weapons and am somehow still having fun after 30+ runs
I was definitely addicted to Hades last week. Probably did 40 runs. Rolled credits after 32 (with God mode on).
Decided to try to clear some shorter games off my backlog before Psychonauts 2, so I just finished Virginia. I have no idea what that game was about - and it totally screwed up my Gamerscore with tons of odd numbered achievement points.
Just finished the first chapter of Life is Strange Before the Storm - which I won in the drawing here. Enjoying it a lot so far, but nothing really weird has happened yet. Anxious to see if supernatural stuff shows up.
Cleared hades 6 times sword twice every other weapon but shield once. Both sword runs were my fastest times with the bow clearing with 3 health points left. Probably won’t have all 10 runs done by the time psychonauts 2 comes out but will probably knock them out in due time. Sucks with the achievements though being glitched would be interested to see how many I’ve completed, but it’s been a fun game and almost time to move on. Otherwise the back of will continue to grow longer lol.
