Finished P5: Strikers last night and I really liked it. It very much feels like a real Persona game and not at all like a musou. I kept thinking how awesome it was to be back hanging out with the Phantom Thieves and the entire conceit of the story is great. Highly recommended if you have a platform to play on.
I think next up will be Days Gone on PS5 as my “big” game, and I’ll continue my play through of Forza 7. Might put Days Gone down when Outriders comes out though.
Yeah, I played through the first act with a couple of friends and it doesn’t get any better. By the time we stopped we could all summon 2 or 3 things which just meant that the screen was constantly covered with spell effects to the point where you could barely tell what the hell was happening. It’s a shame because I loved TL 1 & 2, but this one is a huge letdown.
Stopped playing anything else and I am focused on Τhe Ancient Gods Part 2 which is amazing thus far, I am currently stuck in the second escalation wave of the second level…all the new additions to the combat sandbox with the Hammer and the new enemies are so freakin’ good, how these changes mix things up and make everything feel fresh again is mind-blowing. id is really at their A game with DOOM Eternal and Hugo is the best new director in the industry IMO, amazing stuff.
And to think that this team will have MS’s backing with their next game…the possibilities man…
Technincally not ‘playing it’ as I recently finished it, but I can’t recommend enough Immortals: Feyx Rising
Of the 793 open world games published by Ubi Soft, THAT is the best one of I’ve played. And it released with pretty much no bugs, or major flaws that need to be addressed, which is such a rarity these days
Just a fun, engaging game. Plays similar to Breath of the Wild, with enough nuance and differences to distinguish itself
Currently up to ACT III in Gears Tactics. Overall, outside of the visuals/graphics and the solid story/characters, I have more negatives than positives and all of them are combat/gameplay related.
Hoping to wrap this game up by Tuesday and then start the second expansion, Myths of the Eastern Realm for Immortals Fenyx Rising.
Playing Batman: Arkham Asylum. I’m at the very end, and I’m planning on playing Star Wars: Squadrons next. This game is GOOD. Rocksteady knows how to make a good game. I prefer Arkham Knight over Asylum due to Knight having better combat and stealth (obviously since they had more experience), but Asylum is a really good game as well. The Arkham games are easily the best-licensed games out there, imo. I’ll be playing City sometime in the future.
I’ve actually got my switch out of the basement. Blew off the dust and played some luigis mansion 3. Thought I’d put the switch through some work before Monster Hunter.
On xbox I’ve been playing Control UE. Great game. Can’t wait for Octopath next week
Superhot: mind control delete is a lot of fun but it feels like it uses all it’s ideas in the first 3-4 hours and then repeats them over and over again. I think this game could have benefited from being shorter. It’s still a lot of fun and i hope they continue to build on this series.
Just rolled credits on Breath of the Wild & jumped straight into Age of Calamity. It feels really good to be unleashing ridiculous combos of attacks without having to worry about breaking weapons
The Switch is such an awesome console though. Just fun gaming with no hassle. I’m loving my time with it right now.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is awesome…looking forward to the Myths of Eastern Realm expansion this coming Thursday.
Out of the five Nov/Dec games I had for Xbox Series X/PlayStation 5, Immortals is the highest rated game for me with a 9.0/10 overall. Miles Morales is 2nd at an 8.5/10. Gears Tactics is 3rd at an 8.0/10. I still have Valhalla (25 hours in, currently on hold) and Cyberpunk 2077 to play through.
Immortals would have done so much better if it released this past February instead of a week before Cyberpunk 2077 this past December.
Just jumping into the new Outer World DLC and enjoying the 60 FPS patch.
Simultaneously replaying all of Doom. That is Doom, Doom 2, Doom 64 and Doom 3. Doom 2 just might be one of the most fun games every made. Everything just flows so well. Doom 64 has also been a pleasant surprise after overlooking it because of the 64 controls.
Bought Control ultimate edition even though I could have it for free on the PS5 because… I don’t know. Anyway switching between that and Spider-Man.
Was trying to get back into Fallout 4 but twice I ran into a bug in Sanctuary where I can’t get Preston to start the dialogue to start the next quest. So I deleted it and will try it again later.
