Finished Hellblade last night had stopped way back and figured i would start over Saturday. Enjoyed the game and looking forward to the next one next month. Didn’t have any issues with the puzzles and combat wasn’t bad but also wasn’t deep.
Played some 2K drive for the achievements for rewards. Might keep playing it while waiting for hundred heroes to come next week.
Tried excel l evil west but just wasn’t feeling it well probably just end up dropping it. Might give the orcs must die 3a chance also. But looking forward to hundered heroes and hell blade 2 taking up my time coming up.
And still going strong with halo. Get my weeklies done and it keeps the game fresh for me while i try out the new maps.
Juggling a few games at the same time here… which I normally avoid. Still playing Diablo IV in co-op, started up Fallout 76 again thanks to the TV show and doing some Vampire Survivors.
Still playing Celeste, taking it one level at the time since the platforming is taking all I got. This last level where I’m chasing was a pain in the ass, I didn’t die as much as the resort but it was getting close.
Lots of EA Sports PGA tour career mode. Started as an amateur in the Korn Ferry Tour and placed 4th in the overall ranking at the end of the season. Won only 1 tournament, but it was more than enough to promote to the PGA tour next season.
Just completed Rise of the Ronin for PlayStation 5.
Visuals - 8.5/10 (great)
Audio - 7.0/10 (good)
Gameplay/Combat - 8.5/10 (great)
Story/Characters - 8.0/10 (great)
Overall - 8.0/10 (great)
Played on Dawn (easy) difficulty. Died around 8 times or so in the game. A few boss battles were tough so I could only imagine how they would be on higher difficulty levels. 90+ hours. All regions checklists 100% completed.
Visually, the character models looked good as did the facial animations. World looked good in some areas but great in other areas. Overall, I didn’t have any issue with the visuals. My biggest gripe would be the pop-in especially with NPC characters just walking around the areas which I noticed to be a huge issue with the Japanese games. Like a Dragon/Yakuza/Takes of Arise/Granblue Fantasy Relink/Ronin all have these issues and in some cases are really bad. Oh well.
Music is really good and fits the missions and objectives. Voice acting is solid and sound effects were good. Nothing spectacular but overall, no complaints.
Combat/gameplay is the game’s strongest aspect. From gliding to using the grappling hook to all the different weapons, stances, etc., game is very deep in this regard. If anything, it’s too deep. Also, way too much loot in the game.
Story/characters was really good. I enjoyed the story and got the good ending so I was very happy. Wasn’t a fan of the Bond system because you need to have a higher bond level in order to unlock all the side quests from each character. Other than that, I enjoyed it and kept me interested.
Next up will be Stray for Xbox Series X which I bought last week as it was on sale for $20. Will start it this Sunday and should go through it within a few days. After that will be one of my more anticipated games of 2024, Stellar Blade which after playing through the demo twice went from a rental to a digital deluxe purchase. Super hyped for it!!
Alright that’s Celeste done, at least the main story, if the side B tapes are any indication they’re probably extra content.
Pretty fun platformer, with some areas that had me raging bit, the controls on this game are pretty precise. So if you don’t input commands on time it generally means a death. Which I got over 1k💀.
Edit: I guess the summit wasn’t the end, even though it gave me all the ending markers.
I hit level 20 last night. I have a boat load of ammo for some weapons, but almost none for others. Like, there are 10mm pistols lying everywhere, but I rarely have 10mm ammo.
At the same time, I have so much shotgun and rifle ammo that it maxed out at 999 and doesn’t even drop when I reload my gun.
Fallout 76 is great! Last night someone sent off a nuke and spawned the Scorchbeast Queen, of course I joined in on the fight. Pretty sure my lvl 12 ass contributed an immense amount of dps!
A really cool fight. Lots of players, and it was pretty awesome to see all these high level people in their fancy gear and insane weaponry in a fight.
Playing on story mode. Eight hours in. Really enjoying the game and it keeps getting better. Boss fights are insane. Combat is great and I love the exploration where there’s always something somewhere to find. Game looks great with great animations but most of all, enemy designs are insane especially the bosses. I like all the characters thus far even though the English voice acting sounds more like British but minor complaint. Story is decent thus far. Everything else is carrying the game so even if the story ends up being weak, it won’t matter much but we’ll see. Music soundtrack is excellent.
Finished Botany Manor today and loved it! It got me in the mood for another puzzle game, so I’ll be looking for something similarly light that doesn’t overstay its welcome.
Also juggling Fallout 76, Destiny 2 and Diablo IV.
I pop into Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 for a race or two here and there. I like that the drifting was tightened up compared to the original and the additional abilities to jump and side swipe are fun.
Unicorn Overlord: It’s basically a new Ogre Battle if you are familiar with that game. It’s a SRPG that focuses on the set up/management instead of the actual battles.
Liking it so far, definitely worth a purchase if you like this genre.
After many false starts because I was trying to get a mod working again(I honestly don’t know why weapon specialization just stops working), I’m off on my adventure. Thanks to a mod that allows me to craft and switch out legendary effects from weapons and armor, I have been adding new effects to weapons that don’t have them. Giving some weapons that fall off quickly(my opinion anyway) more use for the future.
Cocoon I have been taking slowish, it’s a pretty good game with easy enough puzzles. That the solution tends to be not too hard, but whenever I don’t pay attention or forget a mechanic. Can see to be pretty challenging.
Fallout 4, I forgot how fun this game is. I really should be playing Jedi or another GP new addition. But the Fallout TV series lives rent free in my head.
