Just got into Diablo 4 as well. Doubt anything else will be taking time away from that game for me until Starfield this fall to be honest, game is just that good!
Just started Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call on my trusty ol 2DS and I am enjoying it. Mindless rhythm game fun is very welcome. Still racking my brain on what I am going to play on Xbox. Rough year gaming wise for me. I almost never bail on games and I have bailed on 3 so far. P5 Royal, Frostpunk and Ghostwire. Although I have played thru more than I expected this year too.
Trying to find something that scratches that itch. Gotta stick to Gamepass games though which can kind of limit it lol
Absolutely! I was blown away by Psychonauts 2 - it was definitely more than I expected. It’s amazing what Doublefine has achieved and it’s clear that they put a lot of heart and soul into the game. Looking forward to seeing what their next project will bring!
Currently doing sidequests in Yakuza 6 after completing the main story. I’ve also played a bit of Ori and the Blind Forest, and am chipping away at Breath of the Wild. Might go back and plat God of War: Ragnarok, as I completed the main story back when it launched, but largely haven’t touched the post game.
I’m waiting for Final Fantasy XVI and holding out for Diablo IV to come to Game Pass, although the FOMO on the latter is a bit real.
Powering through Planet of Lana today, beautiful game. Relaxing run through.
In the AM i played through Steel Defier just to set the achievements leaderboard alight out of the blue in the friends list !
Car Mechanic Sim 2021. I had this sitting in my wishlist for a couple months, but it’s on Game Pass so now im getting to play it without waiting for a sale. I played one of the older ones on Steam years ago but im kinda addicted right now. If you’re someone that was into House Flipper I definitely suggest trying this game. It’s pretty much the same game but with cars.
On a somewhat related note, I found out a sequel to House Flipper is scheduled to release this year. The trailers over half a year old so I was either unaware or just forgot it was coming.
I’ve also been playing Outward. It’s an adventure game that’s like a mix between a survival and exploration game. It feels kinda like one of those medieval fantasy games that released on the 360. It has it’s flaws, it can be hard to get into and the combat doesn’t feel that good. There isn’t much feedback when you either hit or get hit, but i’ve still been enjoying it.
I heard it was only a few hours long but last night I played an hour or two of Amnesia: The Bunker. It can be pretty tense and nerve-wracking with all the sound effects and resource managing. This is probably me trying to be a hardass but I don’t think the monster was that scary after running into it for the first time. I was baiting it to chase me around the bunker and I ran straight into the save room with it coming after me. When I turned around the thing followed me inside and I had to stop myself from yelling too loud because it was after midnight lol!
Back to back Diablo 4 and Street Fighter 6, with Modern Warfare 2 MP and my daily runs of Slay the Spire inbetween.
Redfall. Hard difficulty. Better than the 58 rating that it currently has on Open Critic. Over seven hours in. At level 8 character wise. Looking between a 7-8 for me. At times, it’s awesome but at other times, not so much.
Zelda. Ask again in a week. Zelda still
Diablo IV mostly.
As part of the ending for the fight, I decided to try something that someone suggested as having “ruined” their ending. Using the source skill Onslaught to beat Braccus Rex to death in the middle of his grand speech of evil. It was awesome!
Now onto Pillars 1 and Diablo 4!
Edit: So far have started both Diablo 4 and Pillars 1, going for rogue in Diablo and Ranger in Pillars. Still in the process of learning the mechanics for Pillar, like the secondary weapons and went to use them(I think I’m sticking to just 1 weapon really) also finally discovered how to group back up after multiple ungroupings.
Diablo 4 is more straightforward, but so far I don’t really see a reason for having more than 2 attacks with a rogue for the protolouge. But once things get more hectic, I guess the other buttons can be traps and supers or something.
I’m currently playing through Yakuza 0 and liking it so far!
Welcome! Yakuza 0 is a great intro to the franchise. I started there two and a half years back and just beat Yakuza 6 last week. Great series, but definitely don’t play them one after the other. Take your time and enjoy 0 as there is a LOT of content in there.
Beat Bioshock Infinite. The story wasn’t very good, but the shooting was fun. Love when the M1 Carbine makes it into a game. The game had a problem where NPCs all had the same faces as those immediately surrounding them.
Moving on to Ori and The Will of the Wisps.
Been playing Watching Showcase Reactions for a good bit now…
Not sure what I’ll play next, all I want to play is Starfield.
Still Zelda
Diablo IV and Pillars 1.
In Diablo I seem to be doing well, I have been killed at least 5 times now, but I’m working towards a barrage build that does some really good damage but is very costly.
In Pillars my success is not very good, as I don’t really understand the game’s mechanics, and going to look for the watcher seems to have put me into fights with enemies that can take all-party members down within a hit or 3, whenever I encounter an enemy less powerful (trolls) the party can do pretty well but the new wolves so early on, the bandits, and the white ghost seem too powerful for me to take on now. I also don’t think Kana would be happy to leave and comeback later.
