You should really play the Metro series as it’s so damn good. Metro is one franchises with a silent protagonist that I believe is great. Definitely recommend all three games.

Playing Dead Island 2. A few hours in. Level 8. At the 5th story mission. Game is really good and im enjoying it more now than when I played it at launch. Probably because I don’t have any new game releases upcoming to take away my focus and attention.

I beat Batman Arkham Asylum. The story was fun and short in a good way. I love when stories are scaled down like this where this all takes place on one island during one night. I did not like the combat or steal, but it was serviceable.

Currently 20 hours in to Zelda TOTK.

I haven’t felt like this with a video game since RDR2.

Ravenlok. A bit disappointing after Echo Generation, they got rid of the cool vibes and made a kids game for some reason.

Still playing Dead Island 2. Level 13. Just unlocked guns and love the shotgun. Will be playing more the next three days as im off from work.

Completed Wolfenstien The Old Blood. It definitely gets better towards the end. At first, I took the Nazi Zombies as a CoD homage, but apparently nazi zombies started with Wolfenstien (maybe earlier?) Anyway, the nazi zombies made the game better. I hope they return in Wolf 2 but I doubt it. The final Mummy boss was super easy, but it was still fun and mechanically unique. I much prefer the easy, interesting final boss from Old Blood over the hard, boring final boss from Wolf 1.

Currently playing TotK, and it really is an incredible game.

Ive got about 60 hours in Tears of the Kingdom. Running out of gas a bit faster than I did on BotW because the newness that was there for BotW is mostly absent. Still a phenomenal game, but Im currently starting to migrate toward just wrapping it up and moving on.

Spelunky has, for years, been my favorite game of all time (probably.) When the sequel came out, I found that I was really…disappointed. It felt meaner without reason, more complicated without being more fun, and just generally a case of “more, but not better.” I dropped it after beating the “regular” boss using shortcuts.

A friend mentioned she was thinking about getting it, so I jumped back in on Xbox. I find myself really appreciating some of the decisions made, and recognizing that things like the Cosmic Ocean just aren’t for me - the skill ceiling in S2 is much higher than the original, and I’m a bit more accepting of the idea that some of that stuff isn’t a goal that I care about.

Beating it with shortcuts for the first time, then beating it again with no shortcuts (after being down to 1 heart of health in level 1-3!) in a day made me feel better about it, surely.

Spelunky 1 is in my backlog. I made sure to buy it digitally because it got delisted from the 360 store.

Ni No Kuni II.

Enjoying it greatly. Gotta love Game Pass.

Batman Arkham City. The open world is a step down from Arkham Asylum, but the gameplay is improved imo. I’m not sure which side quests are worth pursuing, so any tips from you guys would be great.

Planet of lana

Just got done with it, I loved it, would recommend to anyone. A mix of good visuals and good music is all it takes for me, add a nice story to that and it’s a wrap. If you got three hours free some time just start it and finish it in one sitting.

Halo Wars!

Couldn’t decide on what to play next so I let the Surprise Me! function on Xbox decide. Only just begun but this is kinda great so far.

Playing Midnight Fight Express right now. It reminds me so much of My Friend Pedro. So far so great.

Planet of Lana is great so far. Reminds me of a modern Out of This world.

Uncharted 4 on PC is also very beautiful program with very predictable and guided gameplay.

The Mr. Freeze boss fight in Batman Arkham City is pretty awesome. If you don’t recall, you have to attack him in a different way each time because he learns to defend himself from each of your attacks. So you only get one chance to attack him through a window or to use Batman’s remote disabling weapon button. I do wish the start of the boss fight was better tutorialized though because I was not sure what to do for a while. Then, I realized that the game straight up tells you what attacks you can do in the menus. The game designers should have figured out a better way to teach the player because the boss fight in itself is genuinely great.

Did it to get one achievement a day for the daily quests.
