I think I’ve seen the abridged videos online…
Someone called the police, lol.
William Ryan Key (ex-Yellowcard) has released the second single off his upcoming EP Everything Except Desire, due out February 11th
Shenmue is what sprang to my mind immediately.
Interesting, but I was thinking something Nintendo
It’s Saturday night and after several Jameson’s I find myself listening to one of my favorite bands The Night Flight Orchestra.
Haha, you definitely took a good shot into some of my favourite EDM offsprings: namely all that -step stuff and, more recently, the hardcore/uptempo/frenchcore scene. For one hell of a funky -step song, one of my absolute favourite ones from relatively recently has definitely been the genre-bending Polyriddim:
As for the higher tempo and crazy bass, it’s been a lot of Aggressive Records stuff from me, mainly Sickmode:
Listening to a lot of Ulver lately, what an amazing band. Also I few days ago when I was listening to Perdition city I realized that it’s almost 22 years old…I feel old.

Four tracks, four different styles, all so good though and I didn’t post anything from their great black metal period.
Not familiar with that band and I’d never think it’s all from the same band but all of those tracks are great!
Now this might seem like a tangent, but I was thinking about the Halo TV show and how it could have a fantastic soundtrack that will be appreciated by a non-gamer audience. And then I was thinking if they would actually use licensed music not from the game.
And upon hearing Eos, I was thinking that this could be a track that they could use if they did decide to. I was thinking it was perfect. And I didn’t know why until I realized it reminded me of the score used in one of the scenes of The Expanse.
I’ll post a link here but there are major spoilers so if you haven’t watched The Expanse (best sci-fi ever IMO) go watch the show in its entirety and then check out this clip
link title contains spoiler - scene from The Expanse
So I guess that association of that sort of powerful music with space was implanted in me and I thought Eos would be great for a show like Halo. I mean the lyrics seem to also touch on that topic.
I am happy that you took the time to listen to the tracks and of course that you liked them! Ulver is a great band and they have produced awesome results in different genres/styles which is really fuckin’ cool and very intriguing for the fans of the band (we literally never know what is next for them haha).
Actually I started watching The Expanse recently and I am now at the final episode of the second season and I really like the series thus far. I listened to the music track that you posted and it indeed was similar to Eos! really cool theme. I’d love to listen to Eos or other tracks from Shadows of the Sun on the Halo show!
It’s Metal Monday Female vocalists edition featuring Nightwish, Amaranthe, Arch Enemy, Battle Beast, Epica and Delain! One of my favorite things over the last 15-ish years in the metal scene is the emergence of more Female lead singers.
Korn have released the next single from their upcoming album Requiem, due out February 4th
Alex Lifeson (ex-Rush) has released a single under his new project Envy of None from their self-titled debut LP, due out April 8th
Dude wtf are you doing, that’s my profile picture, actually wait I might need to switch mine now.
As always when a love one passes I listen to https://youtu.be/Q9WcP5j_6YU Then
Todd Howard sold me the Starfield image as an NFT so now I am the official owner and everyone needs my permission if they want to use it
You’re confusing NFT with Copyrights. Owning the NFT does not mean you own the copyright, nor does it mean you can prevent others from having copies.
Someone will have to explain to me what an NFT is one of these days
