Looking at a mirror eh?

Damn. Yall goin crazy out here.

Sarah Bond should look at this thread for gamepass related engagement, it’ll be higher than the whole of H1 2022.

big content drives Subs, it’s like same for console exclusives, for example you see people exited more for big dogs and that is really appeal of GP, Nobody would give F about GP if it didn’t have MS big games.

Xbox is investing heavily in their own content so they don’t have to rely on big AAA games to fill the service. Anyone hoping that Xbox suddenly invests in multiple huge third party games is probably going to be dissapointed.

From the level of your response, I can understand why your comments are so insignificant.

I think many understand that but until we get a major first party every quarter then it’s going to have people hoping for major third parties

I don’t think Gamepass is good for AAA single player games so I doubt we’ll see any big hitters unless it’s an unproven IP with not much hype around it.

They’ll do their best to fill in the gaps but we’ll just have to be patient enough until XGS is in a great rhythm with its releases.

What exactly is major? Im (and most here) are not talking the same co-op shooters that plague the service.

Why not? Netflix invests in a diverse catalogue the same way Prime Video does while also doing their original content.

Is it wrong to expect xbox to do the same?

Yes, but I was asking where the 1 AAA game a month comment comes from. What is the logic? Why once a month? Why not 2 a month? How about 3?

The number #1 thing holding back gp subs are a lack of consoles, not content. That’s one reason why Phil says in interviews most of his time is spent working on supply chain issues. I mean, who in here is seriously considering cancelling their subscription?

Sure, more games are nice but I feel like a lot of posters on here come from a perspective of what is good for them, not what actually makes sense for MS.

How many big films (not funded by Netflix) release Day-1 on Netflix?

Xbox does invest in third party but based on the expectations here some think Xbox needs to add multiple Huge Blockbuster Movie equivalents when that isn’t based in reality.

Netflix doesn’t add the biggest movie in the world day one.

when you look at first 6 months releases from 3P on xbox, the only Big AAA games content are two games DL2 and Elden ring.

I expect big games from last 3 years and smaller games like steelrising and usual indie games for first months of GP.

i mean it kind of happened in January with ME Remaster and smaller game Siege extraction

This thread should be renamed “Why can’t Xbox get Elden Ring and Dying Light on Game Pass”

MS don’t have enough teams for that, what you probably need for that they invest more in funding games from 3P studios. it doesn’t have to be all of them AAA games

I know a lot of people will raise their eyebrows at this, but the Evil Dead game could be a viable option if it is coming in H1 2022.

Netflix comparison is tricky because many use service for shows rather than movies and they do release TV shows not produced by them day one. Also in different markets they will release different things day one like that movie Annihilation which reviewed well was released day one in non North American markets.

Or “Why can’t Xbox get meaningful 3rd party day one releases on GP?”

The right question to ask until they manifest in reality. Let’s do this. :candle:
