Finally, something interesting to talk about… Forspoken opens at a grand 30k units sold. Disgaea 7 with 10k on Switch, and I’m assuming once we get the PS4 and PS5 versions listed in the Top 30 tonight, it’ll be about 20k, which would mean the low-budget small-team D7 sold 66% of Forspoken’s physical sales. This is a quite low selling Disgaea game too… D6 had a bit of a boost from a Nintendo marketing deal which was not the case here (in fact it had a small Sony marketing deal, oof). D7 was also apparently ahead of Forspoken on the PS digital marketplace.

On the other hand, PS5 took the crown for console sales. Recently, stores finally put away the lottery system you had to do to get one, so we might start seeing higher sales now. Whether or not all these consoles are actually staying in Japan is another story though.

For Xbox, it beat the PS…4 for the first time in a while lol . After the price hike announcement, Series S shot way up on Amazon.jp. We might see a decent bump next week at least.

Xbox seem to prioritize console stocks in North America. It’s either that or it just not selling anywhere else? see the low numbers in Japan and Central Europe.

That good. Shows this to the FTC & EU & CMA so they can see ABK deal is not harming Sony.

Maybe Disgaea overstay its welcome?

or maybe it’s the only “good things” they have to say

It has always been these metrics being the most important for MS, good quarter or not.

Eh, it could be over saturating itself. D6 only came out in 2021 (and was one of the weakest titles in the series to boot, D7 fixed a lot of that though but maybe the damage was done). And again, them taking a small Sony marketing deal for D7 certainly didn’t help.

To compare, Disgaea 5 came out all the way back in 2015.

There’s an absolute ton of NIS America published games releasing this year though, not too worried for NIS, they’ve already admitted that NISA is their biggest source of income.

Not worry about NIS. Just wondering the case.

They focus on these metrics through good and bad, contrary to popular belief they are not hiding anything. And they already highlighted the areas they declined.

They moved away from focusing on console sales to align themselves more with Microsoft’s overall goals of MAU’s. No matter how you want to spin it they haven’t focused on console sales in years because their ambitions go well beyond plastic boxes

they don’t show the profits of the Xbox division. to this day we don’t know how many subscribers Live Gold has, as they keep this thing alive, it’s been a long time since we last knew the number of XGP subscribers. and other things… it is not possible to say that they do not hide anything.

They also don’t show the profits for Windows, Office, SQL Server, Visual Studio or other stuff. What are they hiding?

You know that financial reports aren’t done to satiate the needs of rabid internet console war fanboys yeah? They are prepared to align to a companies financial reporting structures and obligations.

It’s amazing how people don’t get this.

I really wonder how some of you go through the trials and tribulations of real life with how the way you constantly react to some gaming news. :zipper_mouth_face:

Shame EA didnt do a proper world cup game for FIFA. I miss those days

One of the best football games ive played was Fifa world cup 2010.

i’m a PC guy. i don’t have time for this.

Just seen this, and makes me wonder that Microsoft failing last gen was the worst time since last gen was about building digital library
