- Acquire Sega
- Put Game Pass on Switch

Xbox has an amazing opportunity to grow in the Japanese market. Sony is plummeting there and if they can acquire Sega and put Game Pass on Switch they could thrive.

The Switch for the purposes of Xbox’s needs is a tablet with a hundred million users. It would be dumb to ignore it.
So every regular tablet owner, phone owner, computer owner and tv owners … which vastly outnumber the Switch.

The Switch is just another tablet with a built in controller from Xbox’s perspective so yes they shouldn’t ignore it.
But the reality is that its not just that from xbox perspective. Its a Nintendo console that sells Nintendo games and it competes with xbox in marketshare and if they could knock xbox out of the industry they could.
The form is irrelevant
Xbox doesn’t really see Nintendo as direct competition. They’re a partner with in roads in a market they want to grow in.

The Switch is a direct competitor in the console business whether they say it publicly or not and are most certainly not a partner of xbox

That’s not true at all as they have tons of third party games on the system
Yeah traditional third party publishers that have always been on the console not no Xbox and Game Pass which is a direct platform/service competitor.
Anyway This is all mute cause Nintendo would never allow such thing to be on their console.

hmm i think it’s possible have you seen Apple Arm chip ? low wattage and offer good performance. something like that will benefit the next switch or any gaming handheld
Have you seen PC gaming scene in japan ? it pretty much walking dead man. only enthusiast/streamers own good pc for games.
if we rank gaming sence in japan it would like this.
1- Mobile/Smartphone Games.
2- Nintendo Switch.
3-Playstation.
4-Xbox/PC.

MS and some people wishful thinking, like when they tried to acquire them. Nintendo literally laughed in their faces and I’m sure they’d do the same at MS proposals of eating their income through GP. XD
I advice to see the Power On documentary: after Nintendo refusal, the next best thing is “f*uck, we’ll do ourselves”, aka they need to start an acquisition and/or exclusive deals strategy over there.
Yeah for them with no middle man.
They use Ubitus, which is a small fry in the cloud market compared to MS and its peers, I think just for avoiding cumbersome partners which would have wanted a bigger cut. Expecting GP on Switch imo is nothing short of stuff for dreams, we are talking about a company which sells N64 controllers for 50€ in 2021, lmaooo.

Ubitus doesnt compete with Nintendo in the console space so it doesnt matter. GP on Switch is a pipe dream and thinking they arent a competitor is just major wishful thinking.
