Shouldn’t deviate from topic but you’re crazy if you think Halo doesn’t triple this number. Let’s be real here.

Most hyped xbox game of all time. F2P MP. Day one gamepass. It’s a shooter not an open world racer.

These numbers are incredible for forza. Halo will be a different beast. We’re talking 10m-15m players first weekend easily.

That’s a rumour based on an appearance in the store but as people pointed out that MIGHT have just been early access for review purposes.

Given the game launches in less than a month now and presumably many people have pre-ordered it how could they even do EA now? Unless its additive to the paid pre-orders - which is still possible. But seems mighty late to be announcing this tbh.

Halo will beat it 100% cause Halo Multiplayer is F2P so anyone with a Xbox or PC can download it or even the cloud can play it for free plus the Campaign is free if you have gamepass Halo will do crazy number im thinking double maybe even triple FH5 numbers

Such an amazing game. Been playing it since Friday and last night, pleayed with my 2 newpews who ar eon XSS. Man…I have not laughed or cried SO hard from a gaming exp. Never thought Id exp. something liek this. Hard to explain… Awesome job Phil and Team! Halo Infinite…man I cant even WAIT!

Does anyone else remember when Microsoft was doing market research and they asked fans of Forza Motorsport what they thought of an “open world” Forza Motorsport?

I couldn’t find the survey online, but I did find a reference to it in this article:

And I remember thinking at that time, “I wonder how that would look like?”.

And now we’re here being blown away by iteration after iteration of this series… They’ve come a long way from that questionnaire!

These are good points. I suppose that with FH we know it has broad appeal beyond racing car fans and is seen as the defacto driving game for more casual people (the majority).

Halo though I’m not sure has the same instant appeal beyond existing Halo fans (there are a lot of those) but whether it cuts through like FH clearly does nowadays I’m not as sure of. Especially as Halo has to contend with COD/BF in its release window so fans of those games may come to HI later…
