I’m going to cheat and rank franchises. I’m also going to cheat by ranking roughly by playtime - under the assumption I wouldn’t have played the games so much if I didn’t love them.

  1. NCAA Football - For over a decade this series dominated by playtime from August - December every year.
  2. The Elder Scrolls - countless play throughs and countless hours trying to get a stable load order with hundreds of mods on PC.
  3. XCom - been obsessed with this series since the first entry.
  4. Civilization - So many sleepless nights. Just one more turn…
  5. World of Warcraft - Haven’t played this since the Burning Crusade, but I played A LOT from launch through 2007 or so.
  6. Mass Effect - Probably the best story ever in gaming.
  7. Dragon Age - My love for the series declines after Origins, but I played Origins so many times…
  8. KOTOR - I have no idea how many times I have played the first one. I’ve played it on Xbox, PC, Mac, Ipad, and most recently on Series X.
  9. Baldur’s Gate - I’m not sure how many times I have actually rolled credits on 1 and 2, but I have played these dozens of times.
  10. NBA Street - For a while, this game (specifically Vol 2) was like crack to me. I just could not stop playing it.
