It’s so obviously the actress. And even if the character was based on a trans woman, what the fuck is the problem with it?
I’ve learned so many new dog whistles and culture war bulshit terminology the last couple days. That’s what happens when politicians start engaging in a fucking witch hunt against a marginalized group of people to appeal to their base.
Also, the mc doesn’t even look unattractive. They’re just doing the same shit they pulled with Aloy (hfw) and post a very unflattering screenshot.
This shit is so depressing.

After watching the trailer a couple more times. I think the graphics looks great, Plague Tales Requiem Level of fidelity IMO. I don’t think they are gone to let us create our own character. I much prefer own character creation. Will see as more info comes out though.
I don’t think we will have to deal with that, Playground will make an amazing game and Fable hasn’t had a mainline title in 13 years by now, by the time this comes out probably 15 years removed from Fable 3, a whole generation of gamers probably have never played Fable before, also the Fable franchise still hasn’t really seen it’s true potential so I don’t think this game will be worse than the originals, which is something I can’t say about 343i’s Halo games, they never came even close to making a Halo game as great as Bungie’s.
The criticism I saw for the Fable trailer on Twitter, Youtube and Fable’s subreddit was just embarrassing, I saw far right weirdos who never ever heard of the franchise before I bet talking about the looks of the woman in the trailer, about “agendas” of making women in media ugly etc, the looks of the character is basically the only talking point of negativity I saw about the trailer, that shit shocked because tbh because I think she looks great and precisely what I imagine a Fable main character would look like lol, and thankfully I expect Playground to ignore those weirdoes.
I do wonder if they will have 2 main characters though, Bioware for example hires a male and a female model for their Mass Effect main characters, at least they did with Andromeda.

Not that it matters much for a reboot, but the old fable had fixed characters as well, the first one didn’t even let you chose gender

The game engine looks so good the fact that many thought it was CGI speaks wonders for what the team is doing in real-time. Hope it can make it for 2024
The developer said it was running on XSX too in that trailer. Of course with a game so far off it can go both ways. It could improve even more, although that I doubt considering how amazing it already looks. Or it receives some downgrades. I always take such things into account.

srsly, even with the tone of the game people are still obsessed with how the main character looks?
I guess for some people having a pretty character is very important to enjoy things cause the dont have it in real life?

Google is your friend.
He doesn’t actually know the real dislike count afaik. But there is a Chrome extension that gives its best guess based on other users with that extension installed.
The extension is called: “Return YouTube Dislike” I am not sure if it adds extra dislikes outside of ones done by its users
Fuck Google. I checked and yes(never with Google), 22k dislikes to 25k likes.
Edit: Fuck Google is my automatic response when someone says Google is your friend (fuck Google.).

We’ve seen this type of discourse before. When Playground first showed their footage for Forza Horizon 5, the ppl who hate MS wanted to believe it was not in game graphics. Lo and behind, it was real and FH5 is still incredible.
I think Playground earned the benefit of the doubt.

Like someone said above though, Playground should definitely get the benefit of the doubt.
I’m sure most questions and concerns will be answered when they do a dev direct covering the game. Hopefully we get a better look at gameplay, with a hud, and actual proper communication on what hardware the demo is running on. I was curious on aspects like facial and combat animations since they would have had to create the tools and systems to support those features in Forza Tech and they look awesome. Same goes for their conversation system but we haven’t seen that yet.
I’ve always had faith in PG and what they’ve shown so far exceeded even my high expectations.
