Do you guys know if the Conan Exiles on GP is optimized/patched for X/S? Or just the Isle of whatever version?

Edit: according to the M$ Store game page, it is flagged now as X/S optimized.

I must be remembering wrong, I could have sworn from the indie show earlier this year that the airport run by dogs was in game pass. It doesnā€™t look like it is though. 10% off though, and not super pricey. Might try

It got optimized today!

  • Conan Exiles is now Optimized for Xbox Series X|S, providing:
    • Greatly improved Texture Quality.
    • Improved View/Streaming Distance.
    • Improved Water and Fog materials.
    • Volumetric Fog on Isle of Siptah.
  • Added Quality and Performance profiles for each XBOX model.
    • The Quality mode will favor higher image quality and graphical settings, including higher shadow quality, view distance, foliage quality, and better visual effects.
    • The Performance mode will favor smoother gameplay.
    • Hereā€™s a breakdown of the performance that can be achieved between both profiles:
      • XBOX One S: Quality (900p@30fps), Performance (720p@30fps).
      • XBOX One X: Quality (1440p@30FPS), Performance (1080p@30fps).
      • XBOX Series S: Quality (1080p@30fps), Performance (1080p@60fps).
      • XBOX Series X: Quality (2160@30fps), Performance (1440p@60fps).

The game was added to todayā€™s update post

There were so many games shown during that showcase that it was hard to keep track of what would be on Game Pass and what would not  This is from the same dev who made Hypnospace Outlaw, which is on Game Pass ā€“ but this one was published by No More Robots, while Airport for Aliens is self-published.

Hmm wasnā€™t this 4k60 on Xbox Series X already?

Yep. This optimization just adds more visual effects and a bigger multiplayer lobby. Not worth it, imo.

And the strangest thing is that the optimization is actually a DLC you have to buy in-game. It does not even show the game as optimized.

One of the strangest optimizations Iā€™ve seen so far, and I had my fair share of those while running this thread.

To make this day even stranger, we were also supposed to get Operation: Tango today ā€“ but it was then announced as a PS+ title and the Xbox version was suddenly delayed to summer :man_shrugging:

Torn between continuing to play Knockout City or giving Super Animal Royale a go. Also, shady behaviour from the Necromunda devs:

Yeah, from what Iā€™ve heard I would definitely avoid Necromunda on Xbox at this moment ā€“ especially if you own a Series S.

Not surprised about Necromunda. ACG and Mr. Matty Plays gave ā€œwait for saleā€ despite being $40 while Skill Up seems to really like the game.

I was interested but yeah, im not buying and playing it anymore. Just nah. Iā€™ll wait for better games that are on my list.

Give Knockout City a shot. Itā€™s a ton of fun

Donā€™t sleep on Alba. That game was a lot of fun on iOS.

Soā€¦

Sniper: Ghost Warrior ā€“ Contracts 2 is now out.

This was the pre-order listing. It has stated the game as optimized since they started taking pre-orders.

Since the game is now out you canā€™t buy the game via the pre-order page. You have to buy it from the page below, which does not say the game is optimized.

When you actually download the game, you can clearly see the game is not optimized and that it is still an Xbox One app.

When will this end?

Wow, this is very odd indeed. Itā€™s a good thing thereā€™s someone dependable keeping a close eye on all of this

The good thing of cataloguing stuff is that I have all the receipts :stuck_out_tongue:

I reached out the devs and an Xbox Store engineer I know. Will let you guys now whatā€™s happening once / if I get an answer.
