Update | October 14, 2020

The following game was added today:

  • King Arthur: Knight’s Tale (NeocoreGames)

NeocoreGames has announced King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, a tactical RPG that reimagines the Arthurian legend as a dark, gothic fantasy. The game is expected to launch first for PC in early 2021, with Series X|S versions to follow.

The following games had its release dates changed:

  • Cris Tales (Dreams Uncorporated / Modus Games)

Previously slated for a 2020 release, Cris Tales, the highly anticipated JRPG inspired by Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI and Bravely Default, has been delayed to early 2021.

  • Planet Coaster: Console Edition (Frontier Developments)

It has finally been confirmed that Planet Coaster: Console Edition is joining the ever-growing Series X|S launch line-up! The game runs in 4K resolution and supports HDR, Smart Delivery… and Keyboard & Mouse on console!

Two weeks early for deluxe edition? That’s pretty lame.

It is actually November 10 for every version of the game, as confirmed by the trailer released today. It was probably a mistake on the store listing.

Does this means the next gen version is no more delayed on Xbox consoles now?

I don’t think it was delayed? The digital version would be available at launch, with the physical version coming at a later date — now announced to be December 1st.

Isn’t there some feature missing on Xbox at launch? Ray tracing maybe. I can’t remember

Oh my, I just checked the official website and there is a little asterisk all the way down the page stating that Ray Tracing will be added on the Series X version in a downloadable patch post release lol

That’s odd to say the least. Thanks for the heads up! It makes it easier for me to wait for a sale now!

Edit: Another Series X|S game is now available for preorder on the Microsoft Store! Observer: System Redux will cost $29.99 and unfortunately does not support Smart Delivery. It does support Ray Tracing and 60fps, though.

Only six launch titles are missing a store page now: Bright Memory, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, The Falconeer, Haven, RPG Time: The Legend of Wright and Samurai Shodown.

Friendly reminder: every Series X|S game with a store page is linked in the OP.

The video is private:(

Jesus, I’ll have a lot of work today!

And Destiny isn’t a launch title afterall!

Which one? Both seem to be working for me

Destiny 2 not optimized for Series X|S at launch is a bummer. :frowning:

Update | October 15, 2020

The following games were added today:

  • Cuisine Royale (Darkflow Software / Gaijin Distribution)

Microsoft has officially announced the Series X|S launch line-up today, and it has confirmed that Cuisine Royale, the free-to-play battle-royale originally released late last year, will be optimized for the next-gen consoles and also support Smart Delivery.

  • Evergate (Stone Lantern Games / PQube)

Evergate is another game being optimized for the Series X|S at the console’s launch. The critically acclaimed puzzle platformer does not seem to support Smart Delivery, though.

  • King Oddball (10tons)

Perhaps one of the most unexpected games announced today is King Oddball. The puzzle game originally released in 2016 will be optimized for the Series X|S at the consoles’ launch, running in 4K resolution and up to 120 frames per second. The game also supports Smart Delivery.

  • Morkredd (10tons)

Aspyr Media has announced that its physics-based co-op puzzle game Morkredd is coming exclusively to the Series X|S this December — and will release day one on Game Pass!

  • War Thunder (Gaijin Distribution)

War Thunder is another free-to-play game published by Gaijin to join the Series X|S launch line-up. The game will also support Smart Delivery.

  • Yes, Your Grace (Brave at Night / No More Robots)

Yes, Your Grace, the kingdom management RPG released earlier this year, is also being optimized for the Series X|S at the consoles’ launch. And yes, the game also supports Smart Delivery!

The following games had its release dates changed:

  • Dead by Daylight (Behaviour Interactive)

It has been confirmed that the next-gen version of Dead by Daylight, the multiplayer horror game developed by Behaviour Interactive, will be joining the Series X|S launch-line up. The game supports Smart Delivery and is available on Game Pass!

  • Destiny 2 (Bungie)

The Series X|S version of Destiny 2 finally has a release date! The optimized version will be released on December 8, 2020 and will run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. Friendly reminder: every expansion from the game is available on Game Pass!

  • The Touryst (Shin’en Multimedia)

The charming puzzle platformer The Touryst is another optimized game hitting the Series X|S launch line-up supporting Smart Delivery — and it is also available on Game Pass!

  • Warhammer: Chaosbane (Eko Software / Bigben Interactive)

The optimized version of Warhammer: Chaosbane is also joining the Series X|S launch line-up. It does not seem to support Smart Delivery, though.

  • WRC 9 (KT Racing / Nacon)

One of the first Smart Delivery games to be announced, it has been confirmed that the Series X|S version of WRC 9 is also joining the consoles’ launch line-up.

Some thoughts about today’s announcements:

  • People saying Destiny 2 would be a launch title is one of the biggest cases of Mandela Effect in gaming in recent times.
  • No news about The Ascent and Call of the Sea – two games I thought would hit the launch line-up together with The Medium.
  • The Xbox blog post has no mention to Marvel’s Avengers, Haven, RPG Time and Samurai Shodown.
    • Is the next-gen version of Avengers timed exclusive? Is RPG Time and Samurai Shodown japanese only titles? Is Haven delayed?
  • The Series X|S will launch with nine games on Game Pass (that’s assuming Haven doesn’t get delayed). Three games are also confirmed to be joining the catalogue on December.

Even if I didn’t have a humongous backlog I’d be set with AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk 2077. That is 2-3 months of gaming right there. So…whats out in Feb-March?

Great job with the thread as usual btw.

The last video preview from ID@Xbox regarding The Ascent had it listed as 2021 which is definitely better for me personally. I have plenty to play at launch and through February and possibly March. It would be nice to have it confirmed either way though. Same applies for the campaign in Crossfire X from Remedy.

Avengers is marketed by Sony, I expect it’ll be available when PS5 launches.
