Couldn’t happen to nicer guys.
I hope Wagner tries another Zerg rush on Moscow in the near future. Worked almost last time, just dont take any phone calls from Lukaschenko.

Agreed, but this is a tad suspicious. “Plane Crash” in this particular instance sounds sort of like “fell out a window” to me. Now if the plane had hit Putin on its way down…
I’m shocked I tell you. Shocked.
On the other hand, there’s this (says they don’t think it’s a missile, but do still think Putin was involved):
US has not seen indications a missile downed Prigozhin’s plane, officials say (msn.com)
In the video from the crash there is a plume of white smoke visible which looks unlike a cloud and more originating from a missile.
In the end the means is not really important, the main point is Wagner leaders are dead ![]()
Or are they?
That’s a good read, and it makes some good points. I was a tad skeptical about having so many of the main people on the same flight. Who knows.
Confirmation that Prigozhin was one of the casualties on the flight.
Off topic, a mobile game is helping fund resistance efforts against the military junta in Myanmar. This is one game where you’ll want to watch in game ads.
Keep an eye on Tokmak… I feel like Russia is going to have serious issues in the South of Ukraine over the Winter.
Will be interesting to see how USA navigates the growing blowback against sending aid to Ukraine. The MAGA Republicans are starting to politized it. The traditional Republicans still seem to support Ukraine with the Democrats but the vocal minority within the MAGA Republicans is starting to grow. The US civilians are starting to resent sending aid to them as well.
I think Biden addressing the nation and explaining the importance of continuing to support Ukraine will go a long way. Hopefully he does well in the address.
From everything I keep seeing on Mastodon, news articles and the like, it’s looks more like a very loud minority that’s against sending aid to Ukraine. Unfortunately that really loud minority can oppose anything with a single motion brought by one person.
That was always going to happen, Russia is just going through Ukraine first before attacking the rest of Europe.
That is a horrible possible reality, jesus. I mean, I haven’t been following it much for quite a while, so I don’t know how close it’s getting but it’s very frightening.
Also, if they were to get Ukraine, why go for the rest of Europe? I thought this was solely about Ukraine?
It was about grabbing as much as they could before picking a larger fight.
Following the Nazi playbook almost to a fault
Let’s hope they are stopped before such a nightmare scenario becomes reality.
For Putin it will never be enough.
It was a response to president Macron saying that he doesn’t want to exclude having troops involved on Ukraine soil. He was poking at people so they keep this possibility in mind.
The cold truth right now is that russia will not stop until it got hit by major setbacks or catastrophic events unfolding inside the country. Still, ukrainians are holding them and grinding them down for every meter. It’s long and painful, but at some point, it will get too costly even for russia.
Anyway, it’s nothing new for russia as they always said they were fighting all of NATO by themselves, so it’s not too humiliating for them. We are still very far away from sending troops to Ukraine. Probably, at the end of the conflict for peacekeeping.
So there’s this map made for United24 in Fortnite. It’s pretty cool. It’s model on the Maidan square in Kyiv.
It’s called The donation map.
The code is : 1992-2531-2170
Money collected by playing on the map is going to Ukraine.
There’s also Minesalt in Minecraft.
Edit : there’s also prizes to win by playing on the Minesalt server, some even signed by Zelensky. Really cool and for a great cause !
Just something wholesome in an ocean of darkness. Put on auto-translate for subtitles in English.
Her name is Lyudmila Kulakoviy. She is a 78 years old ukrainian grandma who is playing the Metro series on her new gaming computer given to her by 4A games, developpers of the series, after she had to leave everything because of the war. She had been playing for 17 years because of her grandson that taught her.
There’s also an article about her from a few months ago with some quotes:
She plays Counter Strike btw.
«I don’t just play Counter-Strike; I play all computer games. I especially like our Ukrainian Metro Exodus. I always have about five or six games open. They are very good for my nervous system, especially at my age», - says Lyudmila.
«Many people don’t believe it, they say: «Granny, it must be madness. Her hands should be shaking». But my hands never shake. They are normal. I don’t have dementia, I don’t have Alzheimer’s. I react to everything realistically. Yes, of course, it’s upsetting that they don’t believe me. But I say: I will outlive you. I will still be playing with your grandchildren».
«Every game has its own tactics. I come up with it myself, I calculate where I can shoot, where I can’t, where it’s better to remain silent. Many people do it wrong, throw a flashbang. That gives them away», - says Lyudmila.
Currently, Lyudmila lives at the social adaptation center for people with disabilities ‘Ocean of Good’. Clothes are all she managed to take from home.
«For about eight days, I probably didn’t eat anything. But I no longer had a desire to eat. And there was nowhere to get anything. Everything was closed, everything was broken. I was really scared by the [KAB](aerial bombs), and when I found myself next to the white bus, and this young soldier lifted me onto the bus… It was awful. And these are the only people who saved me. I will remember this for life», - shares Lyudmila.
“I will outlive you. I will play with your grandchildren.”
Damn. Granny got spunk. And she deserves it. CSGO? Her reaction time is 100% better than mine. Probably a great way to stay sharp. I wonder if there’s a high school or some such volunteer group that teaches/plays video games with the elderly? Probably somewhere.
This is really wholesome. Thank you for sharing. The times right now, man the times right now. For me it’s a very scary time to be properly entering the world (recently graduated university). It’s a very stressful time. And it’s really beautiful to see someone who is struggling share something so amazing (well, I guess normal to them, but amazing for us) while also sharing a painful reality. And it’s amazing that she was given a gaming computer. Definitely going to have to read the full article/watch the video later.
