Clearly.
Do you care about what other people want or you always tell them Xbox shouldnât make 3rd person games and they should buy Playstation?
When the discussion is going on in general threads, I chirp up with my viewpoint. But what I donât do is go into threads about games Iâm not into just to be a buzzkill. Youâll never catch me in a Shenmue or Kingdom Hearts thread just to tell everyone they suck.
Loved the trailer! The world seems incredible and very well realized. Definitely a âAAAAâ in terms of production values.
This has immersive sim written all over it and Iâm so down.
I thought it was Lance Reddick. Commander Zavala in Destiny, Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Jo didnât sound like Camilla Luddington but it could be a placeholder voice.
Stealth and first person sucks but Iâll keep an open mind. Looks like itâs far out anyways. Too bad the rumors about 3rd person were wrong.
I just finished watching the whole show. Have TI said anything about what insiders have been talking about, it being episodic or nothing at all on that yet?
Personally I wish insiders just wouldnât do this kind of stuff. When the dev still hasnât touched on that, why must insiders do that?
Not really but in the developper interview, they say there that âthere really isnât a game out there hitting that sort of blockbuster secret agent visionâ.
And it should be mainly first-person according to the official page (rumors said third-person).
Blockbuster makes it sound like the budget is high, but scope too? And in what way will it release is what weâll still have to wonder about. But Iâm looking forward to more info, sounds really interesting. He did say itâs still early, so I am guessing thatâs why not actual gameplay was shown.
agreed, i rather they create what they want rather than mimic something because the narrative of lack of third person games.
Also Cyberpunk which is a first person rpg just released and it sold a ton, so canât say people are tired of first person games. I rather Perfect Dark to start a trend rather than mimic because first person spy games are pretty rare, and I canât think of any
Insiders, in general, have sucked for a while now as far as their âinfoâ. Outside a few trusted folks, I think most of them, want to drum up attention for whatever reason. Everyone KNOWS SOMETHING but yet knows nothing at the same time lol. Itâs strange.
Iâm just glad we have some idea what PD is looks like now. Relieved.
So long as Klobb is involved, I think this will be a great reboot.
Huh? Game is a CG trailer -it isnât coming out for awhile. Also, yet another FPS - thatâs a bummer, because I was hoping for a third person experience
The game is a first person shooter as confirmed by the official website.
a cgi trailer is no indication of the dev status. lol and the game has been playable for a year already.
Phil early this year said he played it. I think because of covid Microsoft has been very quiet about giving a release date because they donât want to deal with the backlash of delaying it. I wouldnât be surprised if alot of their games are coming sooner then we think
I assume that what Phil has played of the game was very early, very prototypeish without textures, basically like that very very first SoT video that wasnât meant for the public.
A perfectly fine reason to not show it off yet.
In other words, Elvis needs to come back!
Lmao I hope she is like a female Bond: sexy, sarcastic, smart, also funny and charming
So youâve never actually played Perfect Dark then. Only people whoâve never touched it would describe it as âjust another FPSâ as if it plays like COD or some shit. No itâs not a âbummerâ PD has always been a first person, spy themed, Cyberpunk action adventure, where every mission had multiple objectives, every weapon had a secondary function, you were given tons of options down to even messing with the games AI. Levels were labyrinths with tons of secrets the deeper you went in etc.
I hope the new one is even half as as ambitious .
