The Game Awards 2023 |

I don’t mind the celebs, just give them a shorter leash lol. I don’t need to see Simu Lu adlib some shit jokes for 2-3 minutes.

I don’t mind them until we get the Anthony Mackie cringe. I think they could mix it up and have some celebs and some industry veterans. I think they’re in a tough spot where many show up to watch the awards for the trailers, and not the awards itself. Then you have to appease advertisers, so time constraints are tough and I don’t think you want to cut the amount of game trailers because that’s the main pull

Yeah, that’s the last thing they should do lol.

Drangons Dogma? Yes, that game has many, many gameplay and art choices that spoil gamers.

(Yet, I am biased; Dragon’s Dogma is one of my all time favorites (outside of old-school JRPGs from my adolescence)).

Not true. There was a CD Project Red dev even talking and defending it. It isn’t the creation engine. CDPR dev defends Starfield amid criticisms that its character animations don’t match up to Cyberpunk 2077 | GamesRadar+ There are just certain important early decisions that need to be made before development like 343 dropping UE 4 and developing SlipSpace while restarting Halo infinite. I’m just saying there would have been certain keys things they could have started early maybe like this vehicle’s thing. I like the game the way it is as it is NASA punk not some sci-fi fantasy like Mass effect which is good, but they are clearly different in vision. The platforms I think could benefit more so as in the case with Baldur’s gate.

Just one night… It took just one night to change the discourse out there.

No awards for the platform. Port begging at all time high. Entire media calling out Geoff.

Xbox growing, Games after games, cinematic, gameplay, licensed IPs, Series S redeemed with GOTY and we may have PT revival as OD as per the speculations

I have seen xbox since the HoloLens demo, after that they bought 5 studios. They made series X announcement. Bethesda bomb happened. Series S happened. And then ABK Saga.

@Shpeshal_Nick was right. It would take Playstation to stumble before any meaningful change could happen. And that stumble was realised at TGA this year.

Some of us have been calling Jeff out for a long time.

Xbox and SEGA stole the show astonishing when one thinks about it 2025 will be the year of the Xbox and I fully expect the system to dominate.

I did have a smile to myself seeing some of the poor responses to how good Hell Blade 2 looked or how Blade could also be coming to the PS5 on Restera and NeoGaf.

Just when you think XBox is in trouble or got some issue Xbox responds and knock it out of the park. Well done team

Hmm Xbox has a good TGA and Kojima talks about his Xbox exclusive and their is TGA backlash, wonder why /s

It was more than GOOD it was an astonishing TGA from Xbox. It’s also very sad to see the PS console warriors call out Kojima with little or no basic gaming history The man started out on the likes of MSX and even 3DO before he looked to work on a PS exclusive and even MGS was also out on the PC not just the PS.

I actually still own, to this day, the big box version of that PC release lol

I remember when someone at TGA went after Kotik on the stage, the “Fuk Bobby Kotick” moment and that wasn’t a bad thing btw after what we learned had happened there and he was responsible for, I do believe they should probably do a better job vetting the studios they give the spotlight to, for example, Moon Studios, we all know the sht show that was happening there and how they treated their employees and maybe they’re better now? But something like this makes me believe that they’re still the same toxic wasteland Xbox no longer wanted to partner with.

The one in charge did want to bring it to all platforms and Xbox was fine with Switch, but nothing more. As Dusk Fall was more of Cuphead than Ori in terms of free will under timer. Xbox owns Ori. In any case, it’s someone’s responsibility now.

I honestly won’t be surprised if PlayStation pulls a Stellar Blade on this. The toxic culture was said to be pretty bad. The views here don’t show much interest from gamers, so I do wonder.

That is a very childish thing to like and it also makes no sense, seeing as the game is coming to Xbox Series too.

And they were upset about it which makes no sense to me considering it was a full on Xbox IP Microsoft was paying them to work on, I got the sense that they wanted to keep working with Microsoft but being allowed to release their games on all platforms.

There was a big story a few years ago about the toxicity of the CEO of the studio and how they insulted Xbox employees (not sure about that the latter) but do remember the former and it was a little disturbing what came out of there, anyway basically to put it simply, seeing how childish the leaders of the studio were back then them liking tweets like those is precisely what I expect from them, wouldn’t surprise me at all if they’re still the same.

That tweet is weird when they just had a spotlight on xbox wire

I mean you can do business with someone and also hate them.

Very unprofessional of them if they didn’t misclick it though.

They don’t get the benefit of the doubt from me

Mistake. We have multiple people handling the Moon account, some of them are new'ish to social media. We obviously do not condone any platform war silliness.

While i don't think people change easily I don't think they would be silly trying to insult Microsoft in any way especially considering they need this IP to do well which might even end up in Game Pass from the way Mahler was sounding in that Xbox wire interview.
