If they had, I suspect the answer would be some variation of the point that the nomination in any category represents the consensus of 120 jury members spread across the globe.
And many (most?) of those jury members are not individuals, but made up of several people from a press outlet.
So we’re talking hundreds of members of the press who through their votes picked the nominees in the various categories.
Not saying their picks are unassailable, just saying that questioning Geoff on why or why not certain individual titles were nominated is pointless, as he doesn’t have the answer.
