The whole discourse is hilarious because now people have decided Bethesda games are bad. I am not even Talking about starfield but their entire library . I understand some of bgs games faults but they aren’t bad games now just because it’s not on PlayStation

At first I had sympathy and understanding for people in the media and elitist hardcore gamers for their “concerns” around Xbox and ABK merger, I saw it in good faith. But I shouldn’t have, now with all the bullshit hate and constant negativity towards Xbox especially through a game like Starfield, I’ve been shown beyond doubt those people don’t love gaming at all, at least they hate Xbox more than they love gaming, and now I want to see nothing more than the announcement of this deal closing and I’ll check all the salty threads, videos, and articles they make, and I’m gonna enjoy it

Yeah, I think both are going to be open to shit canning. Hellblade was quite polarising, so it makes it easier for people to point out the negatives. Avowed just doesnt look that impressive visually, which will be used to smash it.

I don’t like that these little turds called the media is using a game they trashed before to belittle a game they are trashing right now. It’s a shame, I liked Cyberpunk when these people(and others) were trashing this game, now they set their eyes on a game associated with the brand they like to concern troll with, unbiased am I right? Lol
But yeah, Starfield is still #3 in most played in Xbox, Steam is not the only gaming community that exist along side PlayStation(where I doubt it’s in the top 5 rn).

If I were one of the developers who worked on Cyberpunk that shit would piss me off. “After trashing our game for ages you now want to use it to shit on another developers hard work, no fuck you!” I wish developers would speak out against this kinda shit more often tbh. It’s one thing for the fans to do it be we can be ignored /dismissed , people in the industry not so much.

They’ll be much smarter than that. Gamers of every stripe hate seeing that word near any of their games. Expect a lot of phrases like “A complete multiplayer experience”, “addicting”, “graphically impressive”, “fun as hell” and “a very rewarding gameplay loop.”
And even if the fanboys are all about the GaaS life once PlayStation Studios adopts it, the general public still has to dump money into those games, and I don’t see it happening. The same folks soon to buy the new Spider-Man in droves, or who bought all the copies that made The Last of Us a success, ain’t showing up for Fair Game Dollar Sign.
My hot take? Discourse is pretty bad in gaming the last few years because big AAA games have been coming out slower than they have in the past. A lot of these fanboys and trolls only play the big cinematic AAA release so without them they have nothing to play.
I’ve been a bit of a shit a times too but gaming is incredible right now with how amazing indies have gotten and the frequency of them coming out etc
It’s been a rough start to the gen for Sony and Microsoft but Microsoft is finally picking up steam but Sony had a game here and there and Sony is slowly losing its good will from last gen.

I haven’t been to Reset in months. I honestly think I’ve started enjoying this hobby more since I stopped going there. That place is so toxic, it’s just a bunch of depressed, miserable people trying to ‘out miserable’ each other about everything (gaming side and off topic as well)

There are cool people and good posts there but I’m starting to lose interest since it’s basically become the Anti-Starfield Forum. Like some days it is literally wall-to-wall “Let’s all shit on Starfield for some arbitrary reason” threads. And my ignore list is a mile long, so it must be even worse without that. 
The recent one that killed me was a poll thread of Oblivion vs. Demon’s Souls. Like… just why bother? The conclusion is totally foregone (a PS exclusive vs. a Bethesda game, wow, I wonder what surprising result this poll will generate! ) and it’s not even a comparison that might generate interesting discussion. No reason to exist other than “Let’s fill air time by boosting Sony at Bethesda’s expense.”

It was the realisation that I had 20-30 of the most prominent members and about half of the threads on the first page blocked that I decided to just bounce from that place.
So glad I left before Starfield came out.

Xbox and Xbox users will never be welcome there and they will ALWAYS move the goal posts to trash Xbox and Xbox users. They will never give Xbox a fair shake.
As an Xbox user really just stay here and or just play and enjoy the games. Now with ABK a done deal Xbox will have so many games and such a good value with Gamepass we can just navigate within the ecosystem for our needs. All the outside noise and trolling won’t impact Xbox anymore.
People like that where they will never go Xbox no matter what will be missing out on a lot more gaming then people that avoid Sony that is for sure.
Imagine being such a fanboy you pass up on all Bethesda games and all future ABK games and then add in all Xbox other 1rst parties like Inxile/Obsidian/Ninja theory/Compulsion
You have to ask anyone that would shun the Xbox eco system if they are actual gamers or not. If the shoe was on the other foot and I was a hard core Sony fanboy and saw everything on the Horizon for Xbox I’d pick up an Xbox in a hearbeat
