The Big ol' Xbox 3rd Party Releases Discussion Thread (HiFi, SoT, Pentiment, Grounded) (Part 1)

This is the thing about big corporations, they want to maximize profits right away, instead of reading the mood of the market first.

Keep the name calling down or the thread goes into slow mode.

Is it? Doesn’t the RTX 3060 outperform the PS5 and XSX? Can’t you get that card for less than $300?

It’s been a long time since I priced out a gaming PC, but I would be surprised if you couldn’t build one that outperforms the XSX and PS5 for less than $1000.

Nobody would care if everyone was doing this, that would actually be the ideal situation

But when it’s only one it’s obviously going to lead to doubt

If you jump to conclusions, sure. As is, a few games here and there don’t change much, and after all their commitment I doubt xbox is going away anytime soon if ever as a platform. They’ll not have a console when no one does because they want more places to make money, not less.

They already bring their “console sellers” to PC.

And with Insomniac leak, we know that those games are also timed exclusives.

I guess Playstation players should feel baited with the “devaluation of the brand” and “lack of transparency” and jump ship now?

I’m looking at getting a PC, build it on my own or prebuilt? Anyone?

It does not.

Building your own is great because you know it well for upgrading, but good value can still be found in prebuilts

Building it yourself will save you money and you’ll be able to make sure the parts you pick aren’t garbage. It’s really not that difficult, but it can be daunting for some.

Pre-builts can be great if you get a good sale. New graphic cards are coming out so prices should drop a tiny bit on older ones. If you feel confident on building your own though it’s generally the best option.

You can sometimes find some good deals on prebuilt, but might be better off to build your own and slowly buy parts on sale

But somebody ALWAYS has be first, take the gamble, push for actual innovation / change against overwhelming backlash, sadly MS for better and worse are usually at the forefront of this.

Yes it will be one sided at 1st (just like gamepass was) but when Sony especially, witnesses how much extra money they can get porting a few couple year old exclusives over to other platforms they’ll rush to it. Doubly so as MS will most likely take most of the heat for effing up the industry again or something something fanboys.

Thanks everyone, I’m probably going to build it on my own lol

Hi-Fi Rush seemingly rated for PlayStation and Switch, though I’m not sure this is legit. Can anyone verify?

PC Part Picker and Youtube are great resources if you need help.

Prebuilts can be great if you get one on a steep discount. The online disdain for prebuilts is overblown IMO. If you don’t know how to or dont want to build a pc, it can be a good route

Imma watch a GamerNexus review lol

No doubt. The problem with prebuilts for me are usually just the cost and the knowledge that they skimp on part quality at times. In the end, that probably won’t even matter for most people.

Yeah, you can find crazy deals on them, and prebuilts today are much better than they were in the past. I think usually the only thing you have to sometimes to do is change the power supply because they usually go half measures there, and possibly the ram
