The Big ol' Xbox 3rd Party Releases Discussion Thread (HiFi, SoT, Pentiment, Grounded) (Part 1)

Are you blind? We’re getting, among a massive drop of games, Lord of the Fallen this month, a game a ton of people are excited for

Lords of the Fallen is a mid game, and that magic FPS from EA that flopped. If they were good games and if Game Pass was killing it the growth wouldn’t be stagnate

Game pass is stagnant because it has near 100% saturation on console and PC users would literally rather pay 100$ for a game on steam than 20$ elsewhere. The hope is they can change PC users minds by dropping Avowed, Indy, and COD in a rapid window

if they’re relying on 3 games then its already a failed system, also it doesn’t help that the Game Pass app on PC is still terrible

With the rumored price hike, Microsoft is almost trying to phase Game Pass out and get people off of it

Rumoured - it’s not official news or even potentially true as a rumour.

Let’s talk if one is actually announced - if it’s unreasonable and they’re not delivering value at that point, I’ll happily join the cancellation campaign or whatever.

But until then it’s just rumour, and 90% of the “news” out there at the moment seems to be old recycled jabs at Xbox and fear-mongering - few seem to have the inside track, and if they do like Jez have the balls to just be bloody specific about it rather than this rubbish “the ones you’d expect”

3 games in 3/4 months is exactly the scenario that can push Die hards to try and leave the steam store. It’s also the most games in such a span as any dev will ever have. What’s wrong, do you just have a very deep hatred for xbox?

They’re gone, we can move on.

Yeah, that’s true. The logistics are better than they were in 2013-14. Amazon would probably come through heh.

This is my hope (at much lower than 30-40m though…), that they can sell a really good console they can make a profit on to the hardcore base.

That is quite the take. It is also very, very wrong lol

During the Xbox one generation Xbox came up with Game Pass, Play Anywhere and Back compart which helped turn the tide with all that’s being said I think they will build their NextGen console to address all these current speculations. They are aware of the challenges and frankly I think this idea of a console that can house all PC stores is the proper way forward.

I miss context here. I missed something?

Ah yes force crunching and firing people for not crunching enough to meet a dead line that no one at Microsoft does anyways. That will go over well I’m sure.

Oh, gone I see.

User is gone, I think as it appears to have been created today potentially just to troll / bait

Ah I see, good riddance then.

Always wanted to try Rise of the Tomb Raider and no matter how cheap it got I didnt pull the trigger.

Loaded it up through Gamepass and having a great time. Its definitely scratched an Uncharted itch I have had. Just wish it didnt have so many open zone collectathon tropes.

The Tomb Raider rebooted trilogy is incredible to be honest. I’d say Rise is probably the best of all 3 but the other 2 are definitely worth playing if you have the time.

Absolutely loved Rise, way more than Shadow. The reboot might still be my favorite, not sure.

Agreed on the open zones, that’s why I’m not too excited with the reports about new TR being open world.

Jez has said numerous times that what he says on the podcast is usually speculation, prediction or what he thinks may or may not happen. When he posts an article, it’s because he has facts backing up what he’s writing in the form of documentation and/or proof. At least, this is what he’s said numerous times on the podcast.

Rise is my favorite of the 3 as well. not to open not to lineral
