Helldivers 2, Rise of Ronin, and even that Stellar Blade game is published by Sony, I might have forgot to put more context about FFVII rebirth but my point still stands, the Xbox platform “right now” based on their( the leadership) actions doesn’t instill confidence if you are a fan of the hardware.

I agree with the third party deals but they do technically have a point about about Playstation also getting ‘2nd party’ games and former Xbox exclusives before Xbox gives their own customers a single 1st/2nd party exclusive this year.
That does feel like very poor timing on Xbox’s behalf. It also doesn’t line up with their 1 release per quarter target.
If anything they should have probably delayed these 3rd party arrangements until after Hellblade 2 launches in May.

I think most people don’t actually care that much, we’re a small bubble.
They just put out a lot last year and have tons planned for this year. You know when none of this will matter? The instant another game comes out, and people do not care who publishes what. If Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes off next month it’s also on Xbox and people will be excited.

It is not fair that you put a 10m slowdown but you can skip it, remove the slowdown or wait like everyone else. You have a position here, you give likes to those who align to your point of view, it’s unfair.

They had 2 of them contractually obliged for Nintendo Direct. And with 2 of them revealed you may as well reveal the other 2.

Heavens forbid someone point out something you dislike. It doesn’t matter if Foamstars was a great game or not. It’s a game Playstation secured for their console userbase and they have them something to play. Who cares how long Helldivers took to develop? It’s a great game that has had server issues, but it’s far from broken. I also don’t give a shit if it has brought in tons of revenue, but Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a big game that will assuredly be well-received that isn’t available on Xbox. That’s all that was said. Playstation is giving their console owners lots of games in the first half of the year, and Xbox is giving them some as well, while Xbox isn’t giving their console owners a damn thing. Once again, Xbox is going to have a packed second half with a barebones first half, just like 2021 and 2023.
Also, incredibly disingenuous to imply Playstation has hardly had any games this generation. They’ve had tons of third party except usives, had an actual launch lineup, and have had basically the same first party output as Xbox has. I prefer Xbox games to Playstation games, but that doesn’t mean I pretend like they have nothing.
Palworld is bigger, but it’s Palworld vs a handful of Playstation published games, this payrt exclusives, and now first party xbox games. I’m a gamepass sub, but I bet you xbox users who don’t have gamepass would disagree that they’re one in the same.

I don’t really like Xbox ditching their exclusives this way and wish they gave it another few years of major releases and CoD on GP before they did this but some of the points being made are just…I dunno at this point

I need to see it to believe it, but that’s just me. Palworld and Helldivers 2 are my GOTY rn( cause I like fun coop games).
I mean it’s because of that “small bubble” that the Xbox ecosystem and sites like this still exist rn, but Xbox is more than that now I guess so

Do you want people from the site/mod team to be a part of the community or just stare at it from afar and hand out moderation in darkness? I don’t moderate this thread, I participate in it. I never mod anything I participate in, but the timer thing is agreed upon by the moderation team.
If it was up to most of the people on this server the thread would have been deleted a long time ago but I’ve kept it going to silo this discourse into one place. Again, no backseat moderation. Offering up our services for free to try and maintain and pay for this site offers us a tiny, teeny-weensy bit of more than the average user like ‘bypassing a 5 minute timer’ a few times a year.

Granted that will be true for many, however it doesn’t really instill any type of confidence in the brand after all the recent bad PR.
If anything Xbox’s ‘actions’ are not helping rebuild any faith at all. Later this year when all the first party exclusives start hitting most of this will likely be forgotten, however until then Playstation is continuing to look like the more ‘attractive’ platform and the damage will already be done (again). As much as I prefer to play on Xbox they do seem to be prone to stepping on their own rakes.
Realistically they must have been planning these 4 games for a very long time, so you would think they would have found a better way to plan this (for example the Nintendo Direct was likely always planned before Hellblade 2 released - even before the leaks).

You know the cycle, as an active participant. It’s dead/alive for every platform to varying degrees. PlayStation was dead after the insomniac leaks showed their awful financials, then xbox is ded with these leaks, last week playstation was dead with awful financials, now xbox is dead 2.0 for the same game ports, and so on and so on. the only one to avoid it for a while is nintendo, who were dead for years with the wii u.

I honestly disagree.
They’re both providing very different kinds of games that will attract different players.
I will say PlayStation probably has the bigger a la carte title with Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, but Xbox probably has the most potential for certain niches with Ara: History Untold and Flight Sim.
Personally, more of PlayStation’s games this year interest me, but I’m more excited for Hellblade 2 than any of those sooooo… 
There’s really no room for complaints either side, honestly.

Huge amounts of speculation in this post that treats itself as fact. I’m only concerned what’s actually happening and not speculation (COD exclusivity lol). Xbox is a business, they flat out make less money if they make COD exclusive no matter how many consoles such a move would make. and it wouldn’t even bring the third parties since those decisions were made years ago

If you’re only participating in this thread, then you should follow the same rules as other participants. Slow mode for everyone or no-one.
As far as I’m concerned, as long as the form of the debate remains correct (which is the case), I don’t see the point of slow mode.
