I can imagine that it’s a tricky situation for them. Because as Fort96 posted, maybe they’ll wait and see how well a game does and then decide to port it over or not. How will they deliver this message to us clearly? Because that is pretty much case by case basis again, lmao.
Like the rest of us I don’t know anything for sure, but my feelings are if it’s more than HFR, it’s not gonna be taken well by the fanbase at all. If they’re holding an event for it, then it’s gonna be more than HFR. That’s just my current thinking. I just hope for the best and somehow some insane top tier communication expert gets them out of this with a winner message, timed with some other great news (Huge Game Pass drops, some big games coming to the platform, etc.) to soften the fans up.
So, he’s just doesn’t understand that’s the change that has everyone is actual up in arms about because it could spell the end for Xbox hardware. Herderson is just as much as a suit as the people who want this change.
Kinda talking in circles, but if HIFI rush allows Tango to keep that team flourishing and take swings, go for it. I can makeca case fir sot in ny head also (without knowing if its slowing down)
Big single player titles would irk me, but kind of curious what reception starfield would get on another platform out of morbid curiosty.
We’ll get news next week. Until then it’s just going to be endless circular arguments around “insiders” changing what they have to say and then taking that has fact for some reason.
Well its called “xbox business update” we know some games are going multiplat so thats the least interestimg part for me (but I would like to see how they comunicate that). What I would like to see is things for gamepass, hardware and software, tye ABK stuff, if they talk about their future…etc.
Here’s what could make the most sense: All Bethesda, ABK and some live-service games come to other consoles. All Xbox 1st Party games (including those above) still launch Day 1 into Game Pass moving forward. This doesn’t account for the Gears of War time though.
Ultimately though, I think we’re creeping toward a future in which Microsoft still makes hardware but licensing the Xbox OS to other hardware manufacturers as well. Eventually, I’d bet on Sony doing the same thing. Frankly, I wouldn’t be shocked if Nintendo started their own mobile store eventually either. The industry is changing and will look radically different sometime in the next decade.
I doubt they will be specific at all. Microsoft doesnt know which games will be omega level hits and which will flop.
Omega level hits should be kept exclusive so Xbox is associated with excellent games and flops can be ported to maximise investment and minimise losses.
