SEGA is still around, doesn’t really mean much
Tim and Klobrille are gone. Rand basically spelled it out. Phil Spencer’s tweet…. It’s over, isn’t it? End of the brand as we used to know it. Man… what a feeling. Just heartbreaking.
Go on and do that.
It’s not just the gamers that need answers, but also their staff, the3rd parties working on games, indie devs, and accessory makers.
Do they start cancelling projects now or wait until late February for clarification?
At least I wont have to hear about stupid console wars anymore, will Playstation fanboys target Nintendo now or will they have no purpose at all anymore?
It’s like supporting a sports team but if they are the only team in the league, why support them?
This right here, Microsoft is an enterprise company and that’s where they made their trillions. Consumer products is something they always struggle with because they always try to apply enterprise product strategies to a consumer product which has a different type of consumer. Apple has them beat in this category cause if they were in charge of Xbox, they would have chipped of a big amount of Sony’s market share already, and it’s because they know how to build a brand.
we hear you, case by case, when everybody plays, we all win.
Get ready for some vague answer that makes some people think it’s not going to be as many games as it will end up being in a couple years from now.
Not saying this is a reliable leaker or if anything they’ve said is accurate, but friendly reminder that Playground’s second project originally wasn’t Fable.
They had job openings listing a “New IP” specifically. A lot of folks started speculating Fable (or other potential properties) once that wording changed.
IIRC, this person wasn’t the only one that was stating MvC: Infinite would potentially be exclusive (there were rumors around DMCV as well). Thankfully, those ended up not panning out, but not sure if that’s because of fraudulent information or plan changes behind the scenes (I mean, look how much MS’s strategy has changed over the years just for Xbox).
Business dealings can change all the time behind the scenes. Again, not necessarily defending this individual, but I’d say the opposing information isn’t necessarily damning either.
Armageddon( for Xbox fans) is coming lol
It’s impossible to really take anything from this. I mean, they are looking forward to it, but are we Xboxers too? We’ll just have to wait and see.
As for that talk about no more day one GP games, seriously, where did that even come from? Because unless it’s a valid source, I see no reason to panic.
and there it is
Waiting till next week is going to only do further damage, things online are already at a really bad level across forums and youtube
Phil’s post basically tells me it’s happening because if it wasn’t, all he has to do is say that it’s NOT happening which would go a lot further with Xbox fans but he didn’t.
Well…at least they said something
Will this be like an e3 level event or what lol
I don’t know if that’s positive or negative. They are listening and hearing… And this “business event” will be next week, it means they are still considering the options and listening to the fanbase (at least I want to believe so). Who knows, let’s wait and see…
The data and metrics say the community gives the new business plan a resounding hell no response. If they’re truly listening, yesterday can’t be ignored and they’ll scale back the plans.
They’re not looking forward to it lol. Phil isn’t going to say he’s dreads delivering news about the fall of Xbox.
This might be the most important event in xbox history
At least P3’s tweet id is still XboxP3.
“We’re told Microsoft was originally planning this business update for later this month, alongside an announcement of Hi-Fi Rush for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. After speculation around Hi-Fi Rush , Starfield , and other Xbox games coming to PS5, Microsoft has moved up its announcement.”
