If they think that an interview with CNBC where they will “reiterate” their strategy will calm people down, they’re deeply wrong. This will just make people more pissed.
This whole thing goes against Xbox strategy so how they will “reiterate it”? Expect a lot of meaningless catchphrases and big corpo speech that have no meaning at all. That’s all Xbox leadership has been doing in the last couple years when talking about their future.
They won’t outright announce their multiplaform plans. They have no balls for it.
Honestly I believed this more before all of the influensiders decided to “me too” the whole thing. If you want to get some engagement just pick an Xbox 1st party game out of a hat and say it’s going 3rd party.
There’s different types of corpo speech. Microsoft is pretty much at an extreme side of the spectrum where they probably won’t even talk about the issue at hand.
Just repeating catchphrase after catchphrase, without even acknowledging the problem. It wasn’t always like this on Xbox.
Tom Warren said that he’s expecting that HiFi Rush is coming this month. What a great way to confirm all rumours by dropping HiFi Rush on all platforms.
I’m over all this to be honest, it is what it is. My hope is that the devs will hopefully be treated better than how the fanbase is treated. It’s probably a good time for me to take a break from video games like I did in the Xbox One gen aside from the occasional COD, I’m going to be more busy anyway after landing a new gig lol.
Them not addressing it within the next 2-3 days means they are completely ok with the damage that this is doing and that it’s going to be every game. If not they would atleast try to control it a little bit.
When CDPR fucked up, they acknowledged the issues and announced their roadmap improve them.
When Bethesda(prior to Xbox acquisition) fucked up with FO76, they acknowledge the issues and announced their roadmap to improve it.
Now with Xbox, I’m sure that their response won’t even fully acknowledge the issue at all. It will be just a long speech filled and catchphrases and words that can mean 20 different things.
