Not even spiderman could sell 5 million on PC, what makes you think FH5 would? A 3 year old game… day one yes, 5 million easily.
I do own multiple platforms (PlayStation, although not a PC), but as @Vivir says is important not to dismiss concerns as “hilarious” or irrational.
PS is so gonna screw you over with another 600€ console and 90€ games is the next step without Xbox. Good job MS. I’ll go back to pc where no malicious megacorp can lie to me, because it’s open space by law.

Will you keep investing on xbox or go full PS? I was planning to buy a series s until I upgraded my PC.
On the bright side, none of this is fully confirmed yet ?

Theyre betting on Xbox players who are locked into the ecosystem staying. They want to have their cake and eat it, too. Its a risk theyre willing to take, but thats what happens when you go out and acquire the largest third party publisher in the industry. People who shouldn’t have input and dont know the dynamics of console gaming get to have a say.
Microsoft didnt get to where they are by locking windows or office to a box they sell. They put their software everywhere they can. You can see that logic being applied here.
It reminds me of Phil saying Xbox was like a garage band of Microsoft. That they could do what they wanted as long as the music didnt get too loud.

Once the door is open, the flow is unstoppable, I for once don’t believe them anymore even with a full u-turn, even theorising this plan, they intended to lie to fanbase and that won’t fly with me. I’ll use XSX with gp only (rewards only) until end gen, then pc gp (less rewards even) and wherever games I like cost less (steam, gog, epic, etc).

If they do something to screw gamepass due to whats happening behind the scenes I swear to God I will become xbox/MS gaming number one hater and not even the red dragon will compare to my toxicity!

I think tim exaggerates slightly his “in the know” credentials… 
If this move would end up killing Xbox, I guess GP will also be done, I doubt pc only is possible and other players will never accept it, not even Steam does. Let’s not pretend PC GP numbers were even 1/4 of console, this move is less and less sensible the more I think about it.

What did you expect, when all your bragging points for console warring on twitter disappear? He was going to get called out by PS fans non stop, so now he’s not an Xbox ‘fanboy’ to protect himself lol.
He’s just adding 1 and 1 and putting things together, I wouldn’t take anything he said seriously, he may be right but the insider reasoning could be totally different.

TBH Forza Horizon 4 released 3 years late on Steam and it seems to be at around 4M sales right now, and it also released at full price.
