This makes sense for those of us who’ve already bought a Series X and stacked three years of Game Pass for cheap. I’ll be keeping my Series X for Game Pass too. But next gen? $500 (at least) for the console and $17 a month (probably a lot more by then) for Game Pass? Nope. I’ll just buy the Microsoft-published games I’m interested in elsewhere and enjoy the exclusives their competitors offer on top.
A PS5 Pro is lookin really damn good right about now. If that’s real that’s definitely when I 100% drop Xbox, sucks cause I’ve only really played on Xbox consoles since the 360 I got some catching up to do I guess.
More irony. They’re obviously not going to port Xbox’s bad games like Redfall because there is no demand for them. So every hit Xbox game will be playable on other platforms while the only true exclusives will be the Game Pass filler Microsoft puts out to sustain the service.
I just can’t bring myself to give a shit about any of this. All I care about is playing/enjoying video games. The discourse around this just screams insecure adult children to me.
The neighbor always had “better” toys and just when dad got a promotion and you thought you were going to have a leg up, dad bought the neighbors the new toy as well. Instead of being happy that you got what you wanted, and it is all going to be included in a cheap sub, you are mad that someone else might get some of it too.
I am 41 years old, Ill be lucky if I have 20-30 years left on this planet. The last thing Im going to have feelings about is what systems video games are on.
I think it’s less about what PS gamers get, and more about what happens to third party support on Xbox as for many of us it’s our main system.
I can’t bring myself to not give a shit about having a 500+ games digital library on a platform with it’s days counted
More than 6 months of normal Xbox discourse was too much to ask for
The headline: “Playstation 5 Pro has the best version for Xbox games” will hit like crack
There’s already actively rumours and leaks regarding Xbox’s next console hardware. Xbox ain’t going anywhere any time soon.
How is Game Pass overall doing? I mean…what are the chances of them doing away with that too and just full on becoming a third party publisher only? That would also mean no next gen console after Series X. MS is unpredictable as hell, I hope Game Pass stays existing for a long time to come.
Because for me it IS a reason to buy a potential next Xbox too, since I can’t get that service anywhere else.
I have 3 Xbox consoles, a Series S and 2 Series X, I should probably sell 1 Series X now before it loses even more value, the Series S may still keep because of how little it is and fit really nice in my luggage when I travel, it’s still a very convenient machine for someone like me who travels out the country for weeks and even months sometimes.
I hope that with the money they “theoretically” get from going third party will stop them from releasing glorified early access games. I expect they to improve the quality of their games, no excuses now. But then, it’s Microsoft lol.
I have over 800, probably closer to 900 at this point. Still don’t care. I spent the money, it’s gone. The chances of me going back to replay or admire my digital copy of insert any game is near zero.
Nah, gotta rush it out sooner so they can get working on the defenitive Playstation edition.
All they’ve said is gamepass is profitable. I think as ever game pass benefits from being part of the wider ecosystem rather than a singular focus. Especially with some content going multiplatform - that just means more potential revenue on top of gams pass.
Xbox games will likely be timed exclusives until hardware sales collapse and Xbox becomes a third party. I don’t think there will be a next generation for Xbox. GP will probably come to PS in the coming years. I’m curious to see what the new strategy will be. Are they doing this to continue to grow with acquisitions and become the largest publisher in the industry? Xbox isn’t dead, but Xbox consoles seem doomed. A bit sad for the gamers who supported Xbox during all these difficult years and never really got any consideration from Microsoft. The official announcement will set the internet on fire. I think I’m going to leave the networks for a while lol
Who cares. Honestly. I dont care what system you do or dont want or play games on. Go buy a different one.
I dont need PS to release games on xbox and I dont care if Xbox releases PS games.
Lol yeah, I wonder how many people are going back to play old ass games or is it mostly an emotional thing? I certainly have no intention, but I know some do.
