I dont know, SSKTJL is the target of some gaming media hate cycles. They’e already hating on a higher production with better story Crackdown game.
So it’s a personal thing. SOT is a great game and has been considered as such since its redemption for many people.
Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny, because they’re real in that same hypothetical reality.
Great game and big game are not the same thing. HFR is a great game too, but I’m not calling it a big game. Grounded is a great game, I’m not calling it a big game.
I understand it’s an overall library that attracts people, but there are big tent pole games that stand out on a platform. Sea of Thieves is not one of those. Gears is, Forza Horizon is, Indiana Jones is, Starfield is
You know I meant to say “BIG” but okay. It’s just your opinion.
Apple. I can see them acquiring EA and having their own console especially since it’s been rumored for so long but I don’t think that they would enter the console market with three other competitors but if there was only two and the biggest of the three in Microsoft being gone, I could see Apple enter the console market and with Microsoft being a massive publisher owning ABK/Bethesda/internal studios, it would be hilarious to see Microsoft published games on an Apple gaming console even more than them releasing their games on Sony’s PlayStation.
I don’t know that, I interpreted great as quality of the game not impact to the market.
More likely scenario (IMO) would be the re-emergance of Steam Machine-like devices, the console equivalent of what were seeing with portable gaming focused PCs.
X-box
Haha XBOX could be rebranded as XAPP. Kind of nice. But in all seriousness, they aren’t leaving the gaming hardware business after missing the smartphone business. Their greatest regret, and now are fighting to get an app on those platforms.
Yeah, maybe. But would Valve want to do that again?
And it is from 7 years ago on a previous console generation. If it was going to move the needle it would have done it already.
Apple is not getting into the console business.
Doesn’t have to be Valve, I just mean a more PC centric approach since PC is growing in popularity and the games already exist. Asus for instance could have a console-like form factor for a PC that runs Windows and a more controller friendly overlay.
True. It could be third party companies bringing out a Steam box again. Similar to 3DO back in the day where Panasonic and Sanyo made the consoles. There might have been one or two others if I remember correctly.
With or without Xbox and regardless of what Microsoft does, I would love to see another player enter the console market. I would love to see Apple enter the console market and acquire EA because that would be one hell of a start for them and would cause the current three to be like, oh shit, there’s another competitor and they just so happen to be worth almost $3T dollars.
Wouldn’t mind a Steam Box console as I would prefer that in how I could access Steam games instead of going with a massively expensive PC.
I was thinking Tencent
Tencent would definitely be interesting to see enter the console market.
I hope they use this multiplatform situation in a smart way. Like doing something innovative for the next console with the resources they have and make new studios in charge of remaking all kind of games for the release line-up of that console, like Oblivion, Fallout 3 and some Rare’s games; while they continue with the current strategy.
That would be the best at this point, bet everything on the next console with games that covered most genres and they know won’t fail.
Maybe they just use it to further increase investment in Game Pass.
The worst part about HiFi going elsewhere, is that Xbox got the worst shirt
