I decided to do the same as well, no point in buying it now when there are sales soon. I recall this happening with FFXIII when it was available digitally after it became BC.
Plus after hearing reports of people getting charged yet still aren’t able to download the new BC additions I will just wait until MS sort it out.
That looks awesome! I am definitely getting both games when the store problems are resolved!
The last few days I checked DOA3, DOA4, Binary Domain, Max Payne 3 & Ridge Racer 6 and all played and looked great. Especially DOA3 is kind of shocking how good it looks and plays after all those years (even the CGI intro looks damn good), Team Ninja were such a god-tier studio back in the Itagaki days.
Also for some weird reason my PAL Max Payne 2 disc doesn’t work…anyone else have this problem? when I try to install it prompts an error message as if the game is not compatible. I’ll try again today to see if it’s fixed.
I’m incredibly happy with everything the backwards compatability team has done.
I kind of hope the team now moves on to try and work with 3rd parties to bring existing games that are not on Xbox to the ecosystem. For instance, maybe they can help port a number of Japanese titles to the system that skipped it or work with developers that only have their games on steam to bring them to xbox
The first game has aged a bit gameplay wise as there’s no increased headshot damage and some of the enemy placement can be total bs and overall its a great time, the characters and story are still excellent to this day
2’s gunplay has aged much better, still some of the most fun you can have to this day, largely helped by the awesome rag doll systems at work
Granted the Xbox downloads an emulator to run these games, but I always find it neat that you can just put in your old discs and play them on your current Xbox with no hassle.
It’s not exactly Dark Souls. It’s definitely more in line with a standard action game. It has a heavy focus on aerial combat. You jump super high and can literally fly by dashing infinitely (final boss requires mastery of this, the battle is basically in space), and sending enemies crashing into the ground and into things with heavy attacks.
I don’t know if this has been asked yet but I wanted to get 50 cent blood on the sand but it seems really hard to get a physical copy without paying loads for it.
I wouldn’t hold your breath. If it was never on the 360 store, then there isn’t even a legal contract for it to appear on an Xbox digital store. There are a number of games that are in a similar situation.
