The Wolverine PC leak doesn’t contain nearly enough of an actual game to warrant altering the develop timeline of it. But I do wonder how it will affect the PC release timing along with other games mentioned. They can’t pull the “pretend it’s not coming to PC until it does” card this time because everyone absolutely knows it is now.

I read the thread, the amount of “I knew he was an Xbox fanboy” confirmation bias going on because of the tamest joke imaginable was eye opening
Getting so worked up over something so little not realising the only people being exposed was themselves
Yeah it’s not great but not the end of the world, especially when it’s so early, although the full story and characters being leaked is pretty bad

IMO publishers are partially to blame. They heavily drip feed the information, create artificial hype cycles instead of engaging the audience throughout the development and people have no idea that’s what work in progress looks like, that various graphical, animations or even gameplay elements are just placeholders - they have no exposure to that stuff.
TL;DR - it wouldn’t hurt if developers/publishers tried to show a bit more how the sausage is made.

The game seems to have parts more advanced than others and this one probably represents something close to the final rendering (it looks a lot like Spider-Man 2) Perhaps this part and the one we will see in a vertical slice presentation next year or in 2025

The only thing problematic with Xbox right now is hardware sales, they have everything else very well lined up for the future. I’d even say as a gamer you could pretty much just live in the Xbox eco system without missing much since they have so much variety and you will also spend alot less.
At some point even Sony Fanboys are going to cave to the great value Xbox presents while Sony’s sad dad walking sim business model because more obsolete day by day.

At the start it was a fine place, lots of people from Neogaf moved to there but it soon turned into a shit hole. If one wants to keep their sanity, it’s a place best avoided.

Sony ,Insomniac, the rumored layoffs… the damage is done but we can’t mesure it just now. There will be consequences for people.
It’s fun for us gamers, getting a peak behind the curtain, but it’s a real nightmare for Insomniac and Sony. And I say that while I’m critical of Sony’s strategy.

I just hope the people that are going to lose their jobs can find work soon. It always sucks to hear they lost their jobs, but this leak is literally showing us a layoff planned in advance.
