Forget Wu long. Will be great game but makes sense to be multiplat
If Ms are going to go all in on a console exclusice TN game
The answer is obvious
Ninja Gaiden 4.
100 oercent ms need to make that exclusive. Bring Ryu back to where he belongs.

I have zero interest in anything else shown.
I dont like Tekken games, I cant play VR due to severe motion sickness, I dont like or care about Harry potter, The yakuza game looks okay, the Team Ninja game seems solid but thematically Im kind of over the whole thing, and I cant even remember the indie type games they showed, so yeah 5/10.
Today has just made me sad that all MS had for Japanese content at E3 was a 5 minute segment, 1 of which was a game we know nothing about besides it’s Kojima.
The “Game Pass or bust” mentality of MS shows resulted in a major drop of JP content showings. I don’t think they’re as receptive to Game Pass as Western devs.
We will have to wait until Thursday to begin the doom and gloom already.
Having E3 as GP only show pretty much definitely restricted themselves when it comes to both Western and Asian AAA game reveals, that’s been a complaint of mine ever since that show.
That being said, even if not every game can come to Game Pass I DO hope MS keeps putting in efforts to get big games to just Xbox itself. Like how Phil got Yakuza to Xbox, Judgment, Danganronpa, AI, Persona and so on. It should never be Game Pass or bust. I would love to see Xbox teaming up with a big Japanese studio even if not for Game Pass. But chances of that are not that big probably.
I also believe that the “GP or bust” thing could potentially complicate things with some devs/publishers both in terms of showings in conferences AND in actual releases on the platform but yeah we should at least wait until Thursday before the new cycle of doom and gloom starts.
They are never gonna team up with a dev and it not be on GP
Not that it matters, there’s no excuse that they cant fund exclusive Japanese projects straight into GP when they have a billion western ones on the way
As for wait for TGS, call me pessimistic but until MS actually starts making moves and proves themselves, im not holding my breath
I don’t think it complicates stuff, Phil knows about getting more japanese content, it is just that bringing more japanese games into GP is essential to their strategy. What struch me there again is that SOny doesn’t place PS + in the front, like MS does with GP. All theses games you saw, you will have to pay full price to have access to them.
The SoP sounds more like Showcase when they showed GoWR. Also, technically, the new IP was shown here, so is this really it?
Premium Games though, not fodder.
Oh yeah, if Xbox is publishing, no JP company will have an issue with Game Pass. Xbox would be footing most of the bill.
I just want to see games like Tekken or Yakuza or Bandai Namco RPGs like that mech game revealed at Xbox shows again. Even if they are not coming to Game Pass. If MS wants JP content to succeed on Xbox they have to put in the work to show it off too.
It is step by step, I thought showing Kojima, Team Ninja back on Xbox, and Persona games coming was a good first step.
I thought so too
Do y’all realize that everything can’t be shown at an Xbox show lol? Also Sony probably has to pay less for these advertising deals.
Well then it feels like they keep stepping backwards and forwards then. Because even recent Xbox shows like E3 2018 and 2019 had numerous JP reveals like DMC5, Tales of Arise and Tales of Vesperia Remaster, Elden Ring, Code Vein, etc. and lately it feels like they relinquished reveals like those to Nintendo and Sony because they can’t be on GP Day 1.
Square Enix being the only one again being scummy :
Persona and Kojima is a pretty big deal. Persona for niche folks and Kojima for mainstream folks.
You have a point. But is there some value to showing multiplats on your show I’m not aware of?
Nobody is asking for everything, just more than 3 Japanese games
Especially when only 1 is exclusive and we know literally nothing about it, even if im very excited about whatever Kojima does
As if I had any doubt. Sega and Bandai are great companies. Oh and Capcom.
You care more about an ad being shown at an Xbox show, too much. As long as they’re releasing on Xbox, it’s all good.
