State of Play (July 8th) - Gameplay Walkthrough of Xbox Game Studios' "Deathloop" & more

He would be right only if Bethesda Studios would be part of Xbox Game Studios, but they’re not. They are still doing business as a separate publisher.

This - Deathloop - is the last game where you won’t see the Xbox Game Studios logo, so who cares. It’s an Xbox Game Studios game in practical terms, it’s Xbox who is financing its development now.

So it’s going to launch around the time COD, Battlefield and Halo will already be out?

Allegedly

I remember when we thought we were getting FF7 Remake once the timed exclusivity was over

Yep good times

Oh , I had not realised the timed exclusivity ends then. Didn’t it say “at least”? Doesn’t that give them a excuse to move it further?

FF7R (with XSX patch) on Xbox, I’ll believe it when I see it.

The game was found in Epic Games Store database, so it seems to be ended in December. Maybe it would announced at The Game Awards.

Interesting! Hopefully not only PC though . But it’s SE, they make strange as hell decisions sometimes.

Damn you beat me to it.

Yes people, that is the head of Xbox effectively telling people to watch a State of Play :joy:. What a time we live in.

Well I mean the ocean was literally on fire, so it’s all probably signs of the end times.

There’s some buzz now about Final Fantasy XVI potentially making an appearance today… I kind of doubt that because it would overshadow Deathloop which is supposed to be the star of the show. Trying not to get my hopes up.

This is the day the PS4 version of FFXVI gets announced so that the game can sell more than 5 copies in Japan.

I’m telling people I think this SoP will surprise people and be more banger then they realize.

I think Sony has a few punches in this one/

While it’s not directly from Sony, reading the article, an analyst said he was told by Sony that FFXVI is a full 6 month exclusive for PS5 (meaning PC gets it at the 6 month mark) and a 12 month console exclusive (meaning Xbox gets it a year later).

More like a jab or two. lol

I don’t see this happening because it’s Square Enix, not Sony. If it was cross-gen, Square Enix would have announced it already.

I would prefer to see clarification directly from Sony (if they would do in some trailers) than from some random Twitter guy which I see him first time.

The only way I see FF being there would be as a smaller gameplay trailer or a cinematic trailer, but nothing too big because Deathloop is already the star of the show. Who knows, maybe Bioshock 4 could also make an apparition.
