Yeah, I agree. I love to be able to fly to a systems moon directly rather than seeing a ship landing screen. You can also count on Bethesda to continue to improve their games as time goes on
The game is totally wonderful now any improvements is just a bruice bonus
Probably not, I have read thereās lore that has been found that makes it clear that Grav jumping is done to travel between planets in the same system as well. As ships donāt have FTL capabilities in real time, like how Hyperspace, Warp and Mass Effect fields work.
While we see our ship get a different animation to travel between planets, thatās likely only there to show a difference between where weāre traveling. As well as not show off the same animation everytime.
If Bethesda ever does add, real time FTL capabilities, it likely will have to do with using an artifact to slow down time to a crawl and allow our ships to travel at real time. So it would likely be regulated to a NG+ option.
I canāt see it happening, at least not while we have any sort of control over it, as Planets are their own instance. So it would just be hidden loading screen with a longer landing animation, which I prefer the current method because planets can have so many aliens running around that they can cause issues. These have happened for me: crashes, 10-20 second quick save freezes, actual freezes that need me to close the game and save corruption.
