Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

I would need to load an older save for the Rev-8, but so far it feels OK on my end on 60fps target in the opening areas of the game. I did get a bit of a freeze or slow down in higher npc count areas before, but happens even on 30fps.

Gotcha, yeah this is something different. Good to know its not widespread tho.

Starts at the Starfield portion of todayā€™s livestream. Nothing particularly exciting. Not sure if Tim Lamb was just nervous, or trying his damnedest to not blurt out spoilers, or what, but he was a bit tongue tied and didnā€™t really say much that we didnā€™t already know.

Still, Iā€™m keen to get every piece of Starfield news I can, so figured Iā€™d throw up the link.

Trying out the mod Better Crowd Citizens, and at first(for like 2 minutes) I thought everything was looking pretty good until I started to notice that some of the faces that would randomly be added to NPC were completely off from their bodies.

If this mod had a way to select head/faces depending on the body type it wouldnā€™t be so off putting.

Another mod I added, PsiSoldierā€™s Martial Arts Madness adds several new unarmed skills to the skill tree which help boost unarmed damage. From the little I explored, because this mod doesnā€™t rearrange the skill boxes in physical or add itā€™s own.

All the skills are crowded in one roll and several of them donā€™t seem selectable. I would have to have a spare skill point to try, but as it stands having itā€™s own skill tree/box would have been better.

It makes me wonder if Bethesda had let modders know about Rev-8 and allow them early access.

Possible but modders also do work extremely fast

Plus people have been working with creation kit for years so experience goes a long way

Probably, but I just figured the model used for the worthog would be different enough to accommodate the jets on the back and bottom of the Rev-8. So getting early access to make sure it works would be ideal.

I am, but for whatever reason Iā€™m just indifferent to it in Starfield. But Iā€™m glad they exist for people to use them.

Sounds like Shattered Space will have some new mechanics in addition to just being a story expansion.

Weā€™ve also introduced new ship customization options, which allow players to really tailor their vessels to their playstyle. And on the exploration front ,there are new tools and gadgets that will help players interact with the environment in deeper, more meaningful ways.

As someone who loves the ship builder, this is very welcome. Crossing my fingers that blueprints will be one of the changes. Would also love a way to instantly switch to interior views, to see how our modular changes will impact that experience without having to save the work and enter the ship.
