Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

Exactly. I’m only suspecting he’ll play a role in the DLC because of the rumours of what the DLC might be. And even if those rumours are true, it’s entirely possible the kid is just a throw-away little side character that just adds flavour.

Time will tell, in the meantime I’ll be checking in on him on the 11th.

Does anyone else just talk to npcs wherever they can in this game doing whichever quests they find? I must waste so much time lol

I do, I kind of spend a lot of time asking questions even when I know the answer in NG+.

Literally… I just went across the galaxy to put some posters up in the well… now im going finding some coffee beans in some ashtas stomach. The game just does a really good job with dialogue so I dont mind these tasks

I do! I legit roleplay my Bethesda games, and Starfield has kinda blown my mind on that front - so many NPCs…

Lol just discovered an entirely new settlement/city I have never been to (Gagarin). So cool speaking to NPCs and getting the rich back story to this location

I had a random crew member who was from Gagarin and hated it. I took her there on purpose to see her reaction, she did have a couple of custom lines which was a really nice touch.

One of my favorite things us running into people out in the wild, one time while exploring Mars I found a UC Vanguard pilot and Free Star Ranger sitting together in a random spot. Turns out the 2 know each other, because UC Pilot was born in FSC Space, but joined the Vanguard because they pay better.

My first invisible human enemy(glitch and likely 2nd), if it wasn’t for their booster pack floating around I wouldn’t have noticed.

Also I have been noticing that some Spacers and Crimson Fleet enemies that I’m doing bounties for. Have been Va’Ruun zealots, or dressed in Va’Ruun Zealot gear.

Here’s the Starfield video from the showcase today:

The section on what is dropping today starts at 2:22.

I definitely saw a particle gatling gun and glad to have it confirmed.

The new locations and stuff is cool, but I’m really liking the look of the store. I’ll likely be spending too much money in it though.

Kinda reminds me of Fallout 76 and the new mod section for Skyrim(where they brought all CC and mods content together).

This trailer made the whole showcase for me. Perfect and exactly what I wanted! Andreja, we’re going home!

Agreed. Definitely the highlight of the show for me.

I’ve rewatched it a few times now, and one thing I wasn’t expecting but am encouraged by, is there seems to have been a bit of extra focus on zero g environments. There’s several shots of that in both the Shattered Space section and the shadow drop content.

It’s one area of the game I always wished they had done more with, so seeing it now gets a definite thumbs up from me.

Not sure if this is old news, but you can browse the creations at: https://creations.bethesda.net/starfield

Here’s the Gravis suit visible in the above screenshot:

Not as cool looking as the Tempus or Tenebris, but nicer than the Venator, so I’ll likely grab this one as soon as it’s available.

Update’s live now so you can check it out in-game.

Do mods cancel achievements typically?

I think so. I’ve been browsing the creations for the past 20 minutes or so, and the only ones I’ve come across that don’t disable achievements are the ones made by Bethesda themselves.

ach

Even strictly cosmetic ones made by users don’t have the achievement checkmark.

Yes, and you should get a prompt telling you when you go into the mod section.
