… Yet. They exist and that means there should be the ability to abuse it.
I think most of the factories are in UC and FS areas. The ones I know, Mars and Gagarin for UC and Niira and Arturus 2(?) for FS.
Of those options, I think FS space could be used because they don’t actually patrol or do any business on those planets. I do wonder though how big mechs are, since the places that look to be where they are kept are at least 8-10 meters in height.
Then I also think how will transporting work, would we need to build a ship specifically to carry it. Like we put down a cage to hold the mech and build a ship around it, or do we just get attach them to the ship? Would the game consider the extra mass and tell us we need to add more engines to not lose mobility? Or landing gears?
Yeah, this is true so should hopefully be the same for vehicles. I’m just hoping that it’s an ATV or they have different types of vehicles and you buy one from the port where you land your ship.
Was going to wait for the city maps/vehicles update before jumping back into Starfield but then I thought that it’s still probably two months or so away and there’s no guarantee that they both get released in the same update/patch so me playing Starfield on January 5th as planned stays as is.
I have a feeling it was one of those things that was put on the back burner to work on things like ship combat for example.
I’m hoping for an ATV vehicle because I think it would be perfect since all the planets are mostly off-world terrain. They could add other vehicles like a dirt bike or something. One thing that they could do is when you land your ship at the space port and talk to the mechanic who buys/sells/upgrades ships and he could have vehicles to sell/repair for you. This would be pretty good and I wouldn’t mind this setup at all.
Given they wanted the ships to be a bit more “realistic” and not too Sci-Fi, I think that’s what we’ll get. However, once we’ve joined the Unity and become Starborn, I hope the ship comes with a Silver Surfer-style surfboard!
Starfield could be made into a really great linear FPS game (like the new Wolfenstein). Be a Starborn with various powers facing off other Starborn, spacers/pirates, robots/turrets, human-piloted mechs, and a diverse set of interesting xenoweapons.
This would definitely speed up travel (or some type of hologram one), plus you could carry it around when walking.
I would settle for an upgrade to the jet pack in the armor station for sustain flight with a massive increase in fuel and decrease in consumption.
Other options:
But make it Grav jumping themed
It can be done in Botw, would be interesting to see it done here.
The last option was a personal rocket, like Roxy Rocket from Batman.

Yup, seems like the easiest solution. Though it’d probably also need some changes to go horizontal instead of vertical.
There’s an animation for it already, that Bethesda can adjust to make it slightly different from what we already have.
I’m hoping the don’t go the space SUV route. Too typical and safe. Plus, what, about planets or moons with near zero gravity? Your vehicle will be hurling through space once you jump of one of the hills or mountains.
There’s also how much vehicles are going to roll once they hit the ground to consider too. Because there’s no way any vehicle will always land wheels down and if we’re going to pull off a Halo and just be allowed to flip it over.
Bethesda also needs to consider what we could do if it gets stuck in a crator too steep to just drive up it, as fast traveling back to the ship because I didn’t discover any other locations is an issue with boost packs(mostly regular and skip packs)now.
Will it be stored on the landing bay? Or be attached to the outside of the ship like a module?
Give me House Va’ruun DLC please
