What happens today is they have to fold down the two big pallets on the side, give room for the sunshield to deploy by pushing the telescope away from the spacecraft it was sent on, remove the 107 pins that are holding the sunshield up (it should take a few hours), begin to unfold the shield itself, and finally raise these bars that’ll stretch the shield out and tighten it.

If something gets stuck or jammed they could try pulling, vibrating, pushing on some of the parts stuck or even move the whole telescope around but if they’re not able to unjam something then that might just be it. The project will be unsuccessful.

I think it wouldn’t have happened anyway, large reason they offered their other relatively insignificant games for exclusivity has to be to minimize financial commitment and focus funding on their big Starfield project. Sony’s exclusivity money probably really helped Bethesda’s financials a bit before MS came and got the whole thing lol

Ill never forget being terrified that Sony could snag Starfield and that BGS would be go to them for marketing since Xbox had Obsidian and relationships could had gone sour.
