Starfield |OT| You're Finally Awake... In Space!

The uc museum is pretty amazing and well done, explains a lot of things about the lore. Just finished the UC quest.

All of your assumptions are wrong lol. There are only two limitless containers, they are in the Lodge on New Atlantis (which u probably haven’t been to yet).

You can get ships with larger capacity or upgrade your ship via the builder.

Nah they have their limits unfortunately. But yes, fill up your companion and ship as well. You can sell stuff in stores from your ships inventory as well, which is neat.

Yeah this. I would recommend to play the main quest a bit further, you unlock Constellation stuff and things that are a good foundation for your further adventures by doing so. I can give you more specific recommendations if you want to @Staffy .

Yeah, I did this early which was very good. It’s easy to miss things if you rush through, as always.

The only downside of infinite store in the lodge is that you can’t use the resources automatically in the benches. Those need to be with you or in the ship storage. I’m using the infinite store to put things to sell later and the resources in the ship. Didn’t messed with outpost yet, should have a better solution. Then, I would put points on piloting to upgrade my ship faster.

Felt my self getting utterly bored with the main quest for a sec but then it hit another echelon. Bethesda is cooking.

Aye, it’s not optimal.

I’ve buit an outpost now where I store all my resources. I’ve built a system with storage where it’s easy to find what I need and all the crafting stations within hands reach. I like the idea of my own secret lair on an uninhabited moon haha.

I arrived there yesterday, but then today I decided to start over, haha. But I’m almost there again.

That is very nice, that saves players a lot of hassle for sure.

Recommendations are always welcome! :ok_hand:t2:

Lol, did you decide to redo your character?

Yep, that too, but also I was in a rather crowded party chat and had not spoken to my friends for quite a while, so I played the game, while missing out on a lot of stuff like logs and stuff. With a game like this I need to be by my lonesome, no other folks talking and just take it all in, hehe. Which I did today.

For example the computers on Kreet giving a lot of info what went on there, turns out I missed one computer yesterday, the first one. Now I know why it felt like I was missing something when I started checking out the second computer there, haha.

I would do the main quests up until a mission called Into the Unknown. This will give you access to more companions and take you on a bit of a tour. The UC Vanguard faction quest, also started in New Atlantis, is excellent for backstory on the world which i feel gives a lot of meat to the the world so to speak. There’s lots of cool sidequests too of course. Also, don’t ignore Activites since they lead to very cool stuff at times.

Into the Unknown opens up some new things almost like the next chapter. This is where I’ve stopped for now and gone back to doing other stuff. There’s no right way of doing this though hehe, but I think it’s good info to have.

There’s also a tour we can take on TItan, Saturn’s moon.

Bang head here.

Sheesh!

Sounds great. I appreciate it a lot. I might just do this, probably tomorrow or later next week because at the pace I play these games, let’s say I make a slug jaleous.

I’m really digging the elements from Fallout 4 in this, such as tagging materials for research and then while looting you see the icon telling you that is the item you need. Speaking of Fallout 4, the music or elements of the music inside these enemy bases really reminds me of Fallout 4 too. Very cool.

I have softlocked my game! I’m going to lose 2 hours of game time because an Ecliptic ship took off on mars as I boarded it and it’s under attack, so the explosion going on outside the ship get inside just enough to kill me.

Edit: I can fast travel off ships that have left a planet! My game continues.

For anyone who likes surveying planets, be sure to grab the missions from the Lodge basement’s terminal and do those first. I grabbed one that had me find something on a planet I had already fully explored and instead of instantly giving me the completion, I had to go back to the planet and find the thing it wanted me to. What’s worse is that it bugged the planet so every biome was listed as being a swamp instead of the rocky desert it was. This has happened several times, so it’s obviously a weird bug.

I just wasted an hour trying to find a particular trait on a planet that has 5 traits. Despite already having completed this planet, I have to do it again and I’ve found every other trait at least 3 times, but not the one I need. I would try all the different biomes, but since they’re all listed as ā€œSwampā€, that’s not going to work. :man_facepalming:

How can you say they’re wrong if you haven’t even experienced it yet? Maybe you’d like it even more in NG+.

On Kreet I got into a Crimson spaceship but couldn’t enter the main area where the cockpit is, it said inaccessible. When I walked out it immediately took off.

Hmmm, but people did manage to do this? I had killed all enemies that were inside, otherwise they’d killed me.

Yeah, that has happened to me as well. It looks like some ships can’t be hijacked as they’re only there to drop reinforcements and leave.

People whose opinions I trust has made me very sure of that approach.

I will most likely enjoy the NG+ later on specifically because I didn’t rush through the game to get there. If it was intended as such, the NG+ would be the starting point after all. Also I’m an immersive gamer and the journey is important. Something my interactions with @Staffy here has led me to believe we share, as it was a response to him.
