I don’t remember that at all, I never played them in 3rd person though, but Starfield is actually decently playable in 3rd person, there’s two 3rd person modes and it zooms in when aiming.
There is a small moon called Fundament that looks literally like a potato, and u cannot land on it. Its a moon of Nascent.
Still waiting for it to click but I’m still relatively early. I definitely get what some reviewers meant. But I don’t see anything that would make me think the game is a 7 or lower.
I think you can’t in this one. It’s locked as you can’t set the camera distance in third person anymore. It doesn’t bother me. I couldn’t set a proper distance in other Bethesda games relying on first person 98% of the time. In Starfield It’s more like 85-90% is first person for me so third person is actually useful now.
I just remembered that video made about space exploration from years ago.
I think Starfield touch that feeling of wandering on exo-planets. Something not many games quite get right.
It definitely is and I like the look, I’m all for having a vision and an intended visual look, but doesn’t have to mean not supporting otherwise standard features lol, just make them options.
It reminds me exactly of Skyrim, I remember being very confused at first and then everything clicked and I didn’t touch anything else for months.
My daughter has been playing fortnight all day on my tv with the series x so I played starfield on my series S and I am really surprised how well it holds up. Anytime I here someone complain about series S ill bring up this game. just as smooth as series x
Yeah, right now it’s a bit unclear for me. I kinda want to do side quests but right now Kreet is the only mission for now, so it makes sense to go there. And it’s super early in the story too.
I guess I could just travel anywhere now, but I want to get to Constellation first, makes sense to at least do that.
Also, normal or hard? These human enemies so far are a bit on the dumb side, lol.
I played it naturally but did not take the approach that I had to do EVERY side quest cuz I knew I was coming back around.
Definitely go further than Kreet, you’re still basically in the intro. Some people chose to stay there and explore but u can always go back.
Hate it. Limit is way too low when BGS knows that a lot of people myself included are going to pick up every damn item. Wish they would increase the weight limit to 1000 because 135 is a fucking joke and it’s not funny. Upgrading it to max hits only 220 or some shit so it’s not even worth it if you’re looting everything like me.
- Background - Combat Medic
- Traits - Dream Home, Kid Stuff, Wanted
I’m literally 60 hours into the game in 7 days and have completed only 2 main story missions. I get so diverted and doing other stuff that im not even thinking about the main story missions even though I want to do them. And I haven’t done a single faction mission either. I have mostly done side quests, activities and “missions” that you get from those mission board kiosks.
I watch mostly gameplay stuff, I don’t watch anything related to gaming news or drama channels so the most clickbait I see is just dumb thumbnails.
I was so close with the persuasion on Kreet yesterday, I failed at the very last one. I don’t fully understand how it works just yet.
I also saw a spaceship with enemies and it eventually took off, I wonder if I had been able to hop on there. I recall Todd saying that he at one point was inside a enemy ship as it took off, I wonder how that works since taking off isn’t in real time.
You have to fill the slots in the bar before you run out of turns. The green options are easier, but fill the bar less. The other colours fill the bars quicker, but are more likely to fail. Sometimes you roll for critical success and clear the persuasion minigame without having to fill all the bars.
I went with the same traits, an extra challenge sounds good to me, especially when the AI doesnt seem to be exactly Halo smart, lmao.
Thanks, I appreciate it. I’m gonna try it again. Yesterday I was just getting a feel for the game, plus I had not spoken to my friends in a long time, so the chat was a lot of…chatting. I’m alone now, sound system enabled and the real playthrough/experience starts now.
Absolutely loving the sound here. BGS never disappoints with audio.
Alright here is another, its probably a known thing in Bethesda games… but when i have resources stashed in my ship, my home, my crew, myself… and i then go to a workbench or research table to tinker, do i have auto access to all these resources or do they have to be in my body ? Its playing tricks with me, it seemingly isnt wotking how i thought it would.
This might be fake, broken, borked HDR but I am sticking with it.
In the area right after you’ve finished making your character you see lights and stuff here. With HDR these are very bright, like in real life, really standing out in a good way. With SDR they are way dimmer, not realistic. So there IS some good in this HDR implementation.
Think it needs to be on your body or in the ships cargo
I do the same thing! Beard growth and some scars to become more weathered as I play longer.
