I think Serana in Skyrim is the closest Bethesda has come to a BioWare or Obsidian level companion character. But they’re generally been putting more and more effort with each game into making the companions distinct and interesting, so I have a good feeling about Starfield.

Tbf she was a major part of the Dawnguard DLC, but I get your point. And by the looks of it the companions in Starfield will be part of the main story which should flesh out their personalities.

Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76 had live action trailers. Not a difficult guess that Starfield will too.

As companions go, I think Fallout 4 has the best companion Bethesda has ever made in Nick Valentine, the best animal companion in Dogmeat. So, I’m not to worry about them, especially the constellation companions who will be part of the main story line in some way.

I can’t wait to interact with Vasco, such a cool robot. BGS nails their robot designs and voices. It honestly felt bad to destroy some of them in Fallout 4.

The NFL season starts September 7th 2023, I expect there will be a live action Starfield commercial during Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions kickoff game. It’s a day after the retail and Game Pass version of Starfield launch and there will be plenty of eyes on the game.

That’s 15 to 20 million eyes that would be seeing Starfield on screen for their first time and probably the best time to start advertising for Starfield and Xbox.
