I tried to express something similar in the studios thread but I think I did a poor job explaining myself.
Basically, Starfield need not play anything like No Man’s Sky or The Outer Worlds (& I really don’t think it will) but it could share one or two similarities with either of those games. Someone could try to use one or both of them as a comparison, thinking they were getting their point across clearly, but the person reading that comparison could then take it the wrong way & it could unintentionally create some confusion or concern.
I wouldn’t dwell on it too much, or worry about it at all to be honest. I have a lot of faith in Bethesda to pull off something very special with this game. I think it’s going to be incredible.
NMS comparison is bordeline offensive for Bethesda imo, anyway I also think it’s related only to space travel, obviously there will be open settlements and areas to explore, it’s a BGS game.
man… this is very good . all this from 2018. imagine how it should be now… it will be huge. surely more than 7+ million playing at launch via Game Pass.
