I think he meant me, and I did say “panic.”
I’m not trying to belittle or downplay people. I’m simply suggesting that some people look like they think day and night about when Starfield is coming out and maybe it’s not really that important in the long run.
Yeah, I just get that feeling here a lot.
Respectfully, nobody wants to hear someone tell them “you still have your backlog” when they’re discussing about how hyped they are about Starfield lol.
Everyone’s panicking about Starfield potentially getting delayed (even though no one knows for sure either way) when in reality they will all be playing Redfall, Forza, Minecraft Legends, Jedi: Survivor, Diablo 4 etc etc etc etc.
…
It already been delayed. If they never announce a 2nd delay, is it really a delay?
it’s just like the Redfall being delay again, but they never announce a 2nd delay, so how can it be delay again lol.
If it doesn’t release before the end of June, then it’s a delay, whether they announce it as such or not.
I also think it launching in July or August is not a big deal.
(I still think it launches in the first half of the year.)
All fine and well, but if I have Starfield in one hand and all those other games in the other…i know which I’m picking. All those others appear in the backlog or remain on the to buy list.
If it moves past the first half of this month it’s definitely a delay, and it would be very unusual for BGS too since delaying once is already not something they do often.
June-September will probably be the release period.
Where is this doom and gloom delay again coming from?
we’ll see, but unless Bethesda themself say it? i don’t believe it. everyone need to just relax and wait for the showcase.
Literally nowhere. It’s just panicking because BGS and Xbox have been quiet.
I still think it launches before the end of June and I will think that until they tell us otherwise.
It’s not really literally nowhere if a couple sources are reporting it may be delayed further, which is what is spurring the conversation.
Debatably dubious sources, but sure.
If Jez, Grubb or Schreier say it, then I’ll believe it.
Sure we can debate the validity of the sources, and I’d agree with you these are pretty dubious - but I wouldn’t say people are basing their concerns on nothing.
I responded to a post about being worried, trying no to panic, and concerns about how intake of social media has impacted them. It was intended to be a reminder of keep the importance of this in perspective to someone that seems to be letting this effect them negatively.
They just announce a direct showcase, in that they said they will have a dedicated Showcase with the amount of time for a big game like Starfiled, just because of that people think it will be delay again?
If we were in April or May and they still hadn’t said anything (which isn’t going to happen), then I would understand the concern. But the reality is that it’s only January and they have plenty of time to announce a release date in the next few months and market the game.
My money is still on a showcase in early February with an April or June date.
Edit: The dates for Minecraft, Forza and Redfall will tell us a lot, as they will want those games to have at least a couple of weeks of breathing room.
I’ve been saying it will probably release in the June-August slot for a while now. It just makes sense if you assume they are aiming for a June release whilst accounting for possible minor delays.
Not going to watch the Matty video though, that dude annoys me.
True but I imagine if there is a delay they will have already have decided upon it and will announce it sooner rather than later. Honestly, if it DID happen I wouldn’t be surprised if it was announced at the showcase - balance out the dissapointment with an indepth look at why it is worth waiting for.
Personally I don’t know either way, I’m very excited to play this game but I can wait so long as they get it right. So I’m not super concerned eirher way. I think it helps that I am not worried about Xbox’s output in the meantime.
