Starfield: Official Gameplay Reveal - Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022

The thing is that people expect BGS to provide Cyberpunk 2077 visual fidelity (and I mean the “promised” one or PC at least after patch) with traditional BGS scale.

Due to long time in development and the released games what people wanted was NMS + BGS + CP2077.

I imagine they’ll do something with NASA or SpaceX as promotion for Starfield :eyes:

Quote from Oblivion too

That should be a great opportunity to help promote the game next year. Hope they do it!

Saw a new video by Matty about this, but reading this is way quicker.

It certainly has some interesting stuff and Bethesda sometimes likes to put Easter eggs and stuff in their games or trailers. That Hammerfell map in the Starfield reveal trailer last year for example.

There is literally nothing to that theory other than someone at BGS including a nod to the Wright Brothers which is entirely understandable. It was likely just some artist working on the assets for the museum of flight featured in the game who came across those numbers and thought it’d be a nice tiny easter egg. Genuinely surprised someone made an article with legit nothing to add and super scant ‘evidence’.

Man, I still get hyped when Todd says “We can’t wait to see what you find” and the music kicks in.

I think this is coming in may tbh. Redfall and forza could be Xbox’s q1 games

You’re right man. I had not read much of the article, I had watched Matty’s video and he also doesn’t think it holds much water. I thought I’d save you guys some precious time by linking a article instead of video, but the article isn’t all that.

Oh I started Matty’s vid and immediately got bored since he kinda rambled on so I also turned it off before hearing much of it, lol. So you def saved me some time by linking to that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Played some Fallout 4 yesterday and honestly, the real time gunplay isn’t bad at all. The guns have always felt great, so I see no reason why they wouldn’t feel just as great and fun in Starfield.

F4 doesn’t have proper hit reactions, but Starfield demo had a few parts where it had. Can only go up from here.

Yeah that’s where I was at, I know FO4 had decent gunplay (at least for BGS) that I actually could say I enjoyed, so Starfield can only get better. Of course I won’t go in expecting DOOM or Halo Infinite gunplay but that’s fine

Absolutely!

But still, I would not say no to a VATS equivalent. Someone on Reddit speculated that maybe a VATS equivalent could be somewhere in the upgrades/skills menu. That would be lovely, but I am doubting it will have one. Kinda doubting it will even have gore.

I don’t know why not? I’m sure there’s some reasons not to have gore when enemies have space suits or something like that but they should have something for visual reaction in that case, and there should be gore in other cases where it makes sense (animals and humans without space suits etc)

Honestly, my gripe currently is more with the gun sounds, most if not all that were shown didn’t sound great to me, I think only the shotgun sounded good. Hope it’s something they they know and can make better.

Blood is a must, would be damn odd if there’s no blood on the ground or on enemy suits when you shoot them. It’s 18+ right? Then it’s gotta be there you’d think. For some reason they left it out of the presentation or just isn’t in there yet?

Honestly it could be missing or turned off or bugged or enemy dependant, I don’t know. Starfield is not yet rated, but BGS and Bethesda games overall are almost always M rated.

The thing is that fighting in space (we have zero gravity) creates issues with the blood and liquids in general.

Yes it maybe there’s situations like that but there will be planets with normal or close to normal gravity. What we saw is not anywhere enough to conclude anything. It could literally just be bugged or missing in the engine when they captured the gameplay :skull:

Starfeild is so important of a game for Bethesda and Microsoft and if the game is only 30 fps it be a big win for Sony and will ruin what little trust gamers have in Microsoft, For the most part Microsoft had stumble hard, Look at Halo.

I believe it will not release till 2024 at the earliest.

What?
