I agree with the attachable drive, that should definitely be a thing going forward. I think I have used the disc drive on my Series X once during the whole time I have owned it!
This does make more sense for PlayStation as they can just concentrate on producing one SKU (digital) now and then sell the disc drive for extra. It should mean they can produce more, compared to Xbox which will still have the separate S & X SKU’s.

Yep it’s more easy for them now, I think a lot of people will give them even more money now by buying the digital first, and then sometime later buying the disc drive. That’s $30 more than the disc console.
